Incredible increases on Friday, the weekends have been very strong this year. It even increased Globally positions wise on Friday despite all the new releases. I'm anticipating a big increase on Sat and Sun based on last year's performance.
In the US it held really well despite 15 new entries above her. I'm surprised the Lil Nas X song didn't even crack the top 20. it debut at #25 at 581,124 streams....i thought he was going to be a big threat. It could well have lasting power considering the holiday connection and you never know what could blow up on social media and tiktok.
The UK is just insane this year....new releases had no impact this week and her power rises. She's already knocking the door of the Top 30 and is already projected to enter the official UK Singles chart at #60.

In Australia. Whilst AIWFCIY and Merry Christmas have not entered the main charts, the album has just cracked the Top 50 Catalogue albums at #29 the past week. It will need to reach at least the Top 20 to have any chance of hitting the main charts.....Taylor's 1989 was #16 Catalogue and at #49 overall on the main album chart.
AIWFCIY has not entered Spotify Australian charts yet but last year it didn't debut until next weekend.

Great analysis skylynx! Be sure to post it in her Chart thread too. It will definitely help for the future tracking years from now:

Honey, Olympic medalists have trainers, personal trainers have their own trainers, if Mariah had a vocal coach all it means is that she knows her potential and takes her craft seriously

A vocal coach AND a phoniatrician. Even Mariah. Even the greatest in classical music.
I'm sure Mimi visits her phoniatrician once in a while. We got that video during TEOM but I think it's part of her routine - at least it should be once a year. I'd like to ask her about that LOL.

Mariah Carey and other pop stars lip-sync. 30 years on, we owe Milli Vanilli an apology.

Don't really get the obsession with the lip-sync thing. Everyone in the industry lips at some point and use pre-recorded tracks. Sometimes your voice is in bad condition, sometimes you're super tired 'cause you're on Tour or with a busy agenda, sometimes the sound system is not the best, sometimes they focus on the choreography, sometimes singers want to preserve their voices... I'm ok with the lipping if I know they can do live what they did in the studio.

Now this is just a bit crazy. It's now inside the Top 50 globally and 30% higher Sat streams than last year.
In the US, it's now cracked the Top 30, the fastest it's been and just 6 spots (20k streams) below Lil Nas X, a new release.
More insane is the UK, it's knocking on the door of the Top 10 already and 50% above last year same Sat.

It was just cruel, however, how the music industry treated that specific duo after everything came out. One of them died and they have never worked in music again.

Weekend streams for AIWFCIY always great! I reckon due to Christmas parties. It's that Sunday dip that usually knocks it off a bit.

Regardless of what Milli Vanilli did , it shouldn't have to come to someone dying.Last edited by skylynx; Sun November 15, 2020, 13:59.

Looks like this is going semi-viral, Mariah and Whitney's lesbian feels are doing the rounds.
It's funny how they can't stop just digging small bits from the past and there's always social commentary interest in her....as compared to some other 90s celebs.

So i'm watching this, and out of all her songs. THIS is the one that came closest to a David Guetta dance song. LOL
Can it get any campier and lower budget than this?
I hope she re-records the video one day with Production darlings.
