JeremySpears 100%! It's her best from the 2000s and my #3 in her discography overall. Like you said, the flow is the thing, I much prefer to listen to the whole album than jump to my favorite tracks. And a double-yes for "Put Your Hands On" such an amazing track, perhaps the sexiest song on the albumShe's got a cute little voice but she doesn't really have any fans...none that can fight....

Digital artist Liam Alexander has been reimagining albums as comic book covers for artists like Björk, Kate Bush and Madonna on his artofliamalxndr IG page. He is on Janet now and has done Control through All For You, with Damita Jo dropping very soon. They are all excellent but my fave so far is The Velvet Rope

The 100 Greatest Songs of 2001: Staff Picks
21. Janet Jackson, "All For You" (No. 1, Hot 100)
This glimmering dance-pop track, produced by Jackson along with Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, arrived not only as a certified hit (it climbed to No. 1 on the Hot 100), but also a can't-miss rulebook for flirting. “Don't try to be all clever, cute, or even sly/ Don't have to work that hard/ Just be yourself and let that be your guide,” Jackson instructs over a rapturous post-disco groove, lifted from Change's "The Glow of Love." It’s a tried-and-true lyrical format that still reigns today (see: Dua Lipa’s “New Rules”) and will surely continue for years to come because let’s face it, everyone could use a little help in that area -- and even more so after a year of isolation. -- LYNDSEY HAVENSBritney Spears • Janet Jackson • Christina Aguilera • Michael Jackson • Selena Gomez • Hilary Duff • Taylor Swift •

The 50 Best Deep Cuts of 2001: Staff List
40. Janet Jackson, "When We Oooo" (All For You)
Like Minnie Riperton's "Lovin' You" without the climactic high note, the intimacy is so heavy on Janet Jackson's finest All For You seduction that she lacks the vocabulary to properly express it. It's always persuasive coming from Janet's breathy, smiling sing-sigh, but the sound of "When We Oooo" that really sticks with you comes from the metallic production -- also courtesy of Ms. Jackson, along with longtime creative soulmates Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis -- which sounds like bedsprings squeaking on an alien spaceship. -- A.U.
