ASOH is amazeballs. Every summer I holiday in the UK countryside (surrounded by fields of sheep) and place a blanket down under the sun and listen to it start to finish. It really is the only way.

      • The inspiration this person has given me, I am so thankful! She truly is the one and only!
It's Kate Bush week all week for me. I've been playing the "50 Words For Snow" album most recent days, and the lead single Wild Man is one of her best singles (hard to rank though)... and closing number "Among Angels" is one of the most beautiful songs I know.

"There's someone... who has loved you...... forever" --> this part always (literally) make me cry.

Aerial is so majestic.. I used to do the same, the blanket thing. Enjoy!

        Song of the day: Cloudbusting.

Personally, I would put Cloudbusting at #1. #2 The Man With the Child in His Eyes #3Wuthuring Heights

                    • Well my love affair with Kate has been a slow one... knowing she was a legend, I got tickets to see her live in 2014 without really knowing her music.

Since then Iíve taken exploring her catalogue incredibly slowly - only introducing an album when I feel ready to listen to something new.

Thus far Iíve listened (extensively) to:

                      1. The Kick Inside
                      2. Lionheart
                      3. Hounds of Love
                      4. The Red Shoes
                      5. Aerial

But today Iím listening to The Sensual World for the first time. I absolutely love TRS and HOL is possibly my favourite non-Madonna album of all time... certainly in my top 10. So hearing TSW... itís reslly an album of two halves - one half is very HOL and the other (which forms the majority of the album) is very TRS. Not convinced itís as good as either yet but I absolutely love This Womanís Work.

So much we already heard before. The release everyone wants is the 'Before the Dawn' DVD Five years this September....I was lucky enough to be there but for many fans who couldn't get tickets it seems unfair they will never get to experience it, albeit on DVD.

I got the CD version, pretty good value for what you get. I also got Remastered Part 1 and 2 but I feel this was a bit of a cash grab to be honest, no new music or artwork on those. Still, you can never have too much Kate

                              • How amazing does Aerial fit into the summer season.
The first time I heard "A sky of honey" I was kind of floored, a musical journey through 1 single summer day with birds connecting all the dots. Love it!
It took some time for me to appreciate "A sea.." but, as all her albums tend to do, I love it.
My favorite songs on Sea are Mrs. Bartolozzi & A Coral Room. The latter was a good choice to end the first disc and get into Sky.

The coverart is pretty iconic too!

                                • Aerial is her masterpiece, alongside HOL. Itís been so long since Aerial though that I really hope she has an amazing follow up planned (I donít count DC or the Snow one )

I really loved 50 words for snow, but the title says it all...it's very much a winter album and I haven't listened to in a couple years because of that.
I actually think it's one of her best albums, I think if "Aerial" is her summer album, "50 words" is the mirror.
It needs a lot of investment and attention, most people won't want to deal with 10 minute songs that "meander".
                                    She did that though.
I have hopes for her to release just one more album, nothing too conceptual, where she can meet everone's expectations...basically another "Never for ever".
Don't see it happening but I'll remain positive for new Kate music.

                                    • Listening to 'The Red Shoes' yet again earlier

Much prefer those versions to the songs she changed for 'The Director's Cut'. I don't think any of the newer versions improve on of the original songs.

I hate it. But apparently those are now the versions she would like to be remembered. A good example of why an artist should leave well alone when it comes to their back catalogue.

I was just so used to the originals I think, to me they were already perfect. Instead of tinkering with perfection she'd be better served by editing the DVD version of 'Before The Dawn'
