I dislike JL as much as everyone else. But am I alone in feeling that it's perfectly valid for her to feel like she was in Britneys shadow? I feel like anyone who grew up with a sibling as famous as Britney would also feel the same. Especially since she's been told every 'achievement' she's had since has solely been because of Britney (which of course is true) but that's obviously going to take a toll on someone. I understand her being upset about it and this time I actually do feel a bit sorry for her. When you have a sibling as famous as that you will always feel less than. Always.


Also. Britneys new insta dragging what people think is Kathy Hilton for being drunk and saying Sam and Selena would be good together? Mental.

Jamie Lynn has had a tough life. She had the same incompetent parents, and she’ll never know the true worth of her own talents and what she could have become on her own (away from being Britney’s sister).

Fame changes thing not just for the famous person, but their family too. Because she’s Britney’s sister, people would have always tried to befriend her as a status thing or to potentially try and get access to Britney.

Then of course, the whole teenage pregnancy would have turned her life upside down and set her down a new path.

So yes, a tough life lived in Britney’s shadow. I don’t know what went on between them or how much she did or didn’t know about the workings of the conservatorship, but I doubt life has been easy for her.

Jamie Lynn is an example of “easy life” and privilege. She is a white woman in America who turned out to be the sister of a millionaire global music superstar (Such misfortune! My ass). Instead of trying to portray herself as if she had a “difficult” life that woman should be thanking the universe for being lucky, as otherwise she would probably be living in a trailer park by now had Britney would have not been her sister.

Oh wow did you purchase and read her autobiography? I feel you talk about J Lynn more than you talk about Britney so maybe that works both ways. If Brit stans ignore J Lynn maybe she'd just drift away into obscurity. It's the stan attention that's keeping her involved tbh.

That's the thing with Britney she really had an ear for what would smash. I'm glad they trusted her enough to go through with it being released.

Yes, unlucky for some!

The way album sales are in the UK if she ever recorded a new album, or they push out a new GH with a couple new songs, Britney should get the #1 easily enough.

Her career in the UK never made much sense. Ultra famous but there was always something of a disconnect with the public. In fairness she barely promoted here, which was probably it.

Obviously lots of fans as per ticket sales, and the ‘annoying’ thing is all of her fans that were kids are now grown up and have disposable income they would gladly spend on her if she ever works again.

“In The Zone” actually debuted at #14 in the UK and then (months later) peaked at #13. Despite the peak it ended up outselling her previous album “Britney” which peaked at #4. That’s because “Toxic” and “Everytime” gave it lonveity and legs to carry on over time.

“In The Zone” started flopping in many Europeans markets when it was first release (terrible peaks in several countries, not just UK) because MATM wasn’t able to translate to good debuts and album sales in several markets. The album was initially projected to become Britney’s first album to flop (internationally at least). It wasn’t until she did the brilliant “Toxic / Everytime” back to back move that the album was saved, elevated and bounced back on every chart turning into a hit.

She either has to be afraid of crazy conspiracy theorists harassing her, her crazy ex with his knife or the media bullying her like it's the 2000s. I wouldn’t leave my house either.
