That's the Maluma (and the whole currently popular Latin music, like Anitta) sound. That's what I was talking about when I said that M recording with the two of them isn't exciting for me, as it seems more like she going with that sound and trying to reap the possible benefits by siding with acts who are popular in that kind of music and not actually doing something a bit more creative.

I totally agree w/u. My perception is that too. Seems like M wants to get their popularity so as to have a decent hit. M does not need that. She is incredibily talented whe it comes to cross bundaries musically. Where is that M who changes everything on a spur of the moment when she realized that thing she was recording was the same old thing?

Actually, M does not need Maluma or Anitta. They need her.

In a few years, they won't even release concert DVDs anymore so you'll have to choose between platforms like Netflix or no release at all.

Maybe right now some people can still be "in the middle" but streaming will keep getting even more stronger I think there will be a point when you and many people have to adapt and evolve with the trends of consuming either music or films if you don't want to be left behind.

That would be like saying someone refuses to use a smartphone in this day and age or that you prefer watching music videos on MTV over Youtube in 2019. Streaming will evolve to the point that it won't just be another option ..... It will become necessary.

My guess is that if Netflix were interested in this, they’d buy the rights, finance it and retain exclusivity for a defined amount of time. Sure, she could release it on DVD and then sell it to Netflix, but chances are it’s worth more letting Netflix have the exclusive - and most likely more economical for Madge. The problem I have with that is there’s next to no chances of her releasing a stand alone live album without a dvd packaged in.

Sure there are ways around all that, but I did enjoy the RHT album (especially LAV).

If Netflix have got something about the album, it makes sense that she’d give them the live show rights too. I suppose we just have to wait and see - and whilst I understand people don’t like streaming (though I don’t understand the stance) - just ask someone for their Netflix login details and/or take advantage of the 1 month free trial they offer.

Its really not the end of the world some of you are making it out to be.
