Along with How High, I think it’s the weakest moment on COADF. But I remember a lot of discussions about how Push should have been a US 5th single.
"How High" is definitely the weakest (and only weak) song in that album. I always liked "Push" but yeah I remember people not liking it at the time, maybe because it sounded kinda out of place in the album? That said, I don't consider it one of the best tracks off the album (hence I forgot it's actually good) but a good track all the same.
Rock lives forever: Led Zeppelin . Metallica . Pink Floyd . Nirvana . Radiohead . Pearl Jam . Oasis . Iron Maiden . Nine Inch Nails Approved Popstars: Michael Jackson . Madonna . Britney Spears . Beyoncé . Rihanna
Prayed through the nights, Felt so alone, Suffered from alienation, Carried the weight on my own, Had to be strong, So I believed, And now I know I've succeeded in finding the place I conceived, I had a vision of love...
I love How High and Push!
Actually, Confessions are pure pop/dance perfection to me! Not a single filler! Can still listen to it from top to bottom without skiping a song!
"Confessions" is pretty much filler free and all of the songs are top-notch ... You can tell there were a couple of fillers on "Hard Candy" tho.

Don’t be starting on my Hard Candy
As much as I love it, Hard Candy is very much an album of 2 halves for me - the first 6 are amazing, but after She’s Not Me I find the quality drops a bit and is very much a clear ‘album track’ zone.
I know many consider Spanish Lesson the weakest link, but it is a fun, frivolous pop song (that even Madonna hesitated to include). But admittedly it is possibly my least favourite from the album, along with Devil (which I find over produced). I really wish she had replaced either song with Across The Sky, which is by far one of her greatest unreleased songs.
I wish we could hear some of the earlier versions of Devil - it was written 4 years before finally being released. Hollywood too, came from Music originally before finding a home on American Life (so probably was written as early as 1999). I’d love to hear the versions of both that Madonna rejected.
I would love a new awesome album from Madonna.
All Madonna, no collaborations.
She could save that for the singles.
She could make an album with only herself and then release singles with duets/collaborations whatever.
If she’s serious about touring ‘soon’ then I do think she may be working with Mirwais, which gets me very, very excited
Listening a lot to the Hamilton cast recording this week, and I’d love Madonna to write songs with Lim-Manuel Miranda. He also did the songs for Moana. He’s lyrically very clever and theatrical, which I think mixed with Madonna’s pop sensibility and produced by someone else, could make an interesting mix.
It's also featured in the movie, but ofc label didn't do anything to support it further, no upload on youtube, no push on Spotify. Her legacy is treated like dirt.
So many 80s and 90s songs were revived in recent years thanks to being used in hit movi, another missed opportunity.

Brings us back to glorious days of Warner who tried to make "Jump" hit by putting it on Devil Wears Prada soundtrack without sending it to radio or trying to capitalize on it <3

Don't think anything will ever taste the same

An alleged demo snippet of a supposed collaboration between Madonna & Miley Cyrus has appeared online!
What is it for? Miley just released a new album already. No new album of Madonna on the way as far as I know.
Or could it be a one off? Or for a soundtrack?
