People are paying £20 ish for a vinyl re-issue... I don’t see why they wouldn’t pay the same (or more) for unreleased music, dvds and the SEX book. If you take the SEX book out it’s basically exactly what Sony did with MJ’s ‘Bad 25’ - 3 discs and an acceptable price.

Considering SEX will never be republished on its own (why would it?) it should be bundled in with an Erotica re-issue to create a product that encompasses the entire era completely.

Even MJ’s ‘Vision’ dvd came with 3 discs and a photo book similar what I’ve said above, and wasn’t that expensive.

The problem is though that Madonna just wont bother doing it - but the discussion was that Warner would probably love to do nothing more than release such a product.

Now-a-days,when it comes to Madonna,everything is possible but I (still) don't see her doing a residency .
She trashed the idea to bits in the past. Would she change her mind so much?
That plus the fact that touring is where money really is for her.
And THAT is something she'll never take for granted.

Broadway and West End only. I don’t see her ever wanting to do Vegas - she’s said how much she dislikes the city itself. At least with NYC and London she can go home to her own bed every night.

The problem though is that theatre owners like to have 8 shows a week with an interval (and will charge you more rent if you don’t include an internal - about another £8,000 per show in London).

Though if Madonna paid the rent for 8 shows but did less actual performances that still covered the costs, I don’t see the issue.

There was talk of her doing Glastonbury 2020 so I’m not convinced there’ll be no tour, but it looks incredibly unlikely she’ll do one this year.

I wouldn’t rule out the idea of an arena residency either, especially if she lowered her ticket prices. Last time she did London, with fees ticket prices exceeded £200. I loved it but it’s madness and only justifiable in that it’s only once every few years, but most regular concert goers wouldn’t see it like that.

It’s also possible she might take a few years off touring, to increase demand. She’s done a hell of a lot of touring in the last 18 years and played a lot of her hits. As much as we crave new music, it’s only been 3 years since RHT ended and in the scheme of things, that’s not a huge amount of time in the touring world imo.

If she skips touring this era and does a small residency in a theatre (which would make a lot of sense to give Netflix an exclusive of) then she could easily wait until the next era... which if we believe could be 2023/2024, gives her another 7/8 year touring gap. Plus if she avoids using her biggest hits, she’ll be able to claim ‘for the first time in over X years’ like on RIT.

Madonna needs to tour so that she can bundle the album with ticket sales so that it has a better chance to hit #1. Besides touring is where the money is at and she isn’t going to miss the opportunity while she still can. She’s getting older and she doesn’t plan to do stadium tours when she’s 70.

Personally I’d suggest they re-issue True Blue first (as I said on the previous page) as it’s always a big public favourite. But let’s give Like a Prayer a go:

The cover would be a leather bound box that looks like a catholic prayer book, with the LAP logo etched in gold on the front.

When you open it, it would have a Prayer booklet attached to the left hand side, containing photos and lyrics, and 3 discs:

Disc 1: Remastered album
Disc 2: Rare and unreleased material -Supernatural, the original version of Vogue submitted as a b-side, complete with original lyrics that Disney supposedly asked to be changed, Just a Dream (given to Donna later... I think it comes from these sessions) and I think there’s an unreleased AIDS song too.
Disc 3: DVD with 5 remastered music videos, the Pepsi commercial, Express Yourself from the VMA awards and LAP live from BAT.
