Can’t wait for this new album to reignite the already familiar allegations against M and cultural appropriation (I particularly remember this being a thing with “Vogue” and suburban gay culture, and during Ray of Light and her use of Japanese and Indian cultures throughout the project). I mean, by the sound of it so far, this album will incorporate Portuguese, Colombian, Brazilian and Indian vibes now haha. Give them hell M!!

Cultural appropriation wasn't a "thing" a few years back and it's something I really do not understand!

I mean, Madonna never claimed she invented Vogue... She took something that already existed and brought to the mainstream.

Same with all her work, she gets inspired by something (whether it's a sound, painting, movie, book) and gives it her "spin". She never claims to have invented it!
