I was never good at ranking albums and tracks. There is not one bad track on this record, IMO. Deeper and Deeper is always on repeat, however.

same here. It took ages to grow on me though... I remember on first listen I found it underwhelming even though I adored the title track. Only that, the other Andre Betts tracks, Bad Girl and Thief Of Hearts were instant hits here. With time I came to love all of it though

Never loved Erotica or even Bedtime Stories so much. I bought them, I enjoyed them, then Sheryl, Alanis, Hole, PJ Harvey came. I started really liking her again with I’ll Remember / The Power of Goodbye bc they reminded me of the “old” Madonna I used to love, thank Pat Leonard I suppose. And became obsessed with Music, AL, COADF.

Yes I just noticed that too.

What I also noticed was how average the Bad Girl upscale is. You all know me, I’ll praise it if it deserves it and I’ll call it out if I think otherwise. It’s not a bad upscale as such, it’s just not good enough.

The upscale isn’t as crisp as it should be. Madonna has certain music videos that define the art form and Warner needs to start putting money into really preserving Madonna’s legacy. There are no excuses for not rescanning the original film this time.

I’m just over trying to find the positive in getting HD every time when it’s 2022. Music videos that were shot on 35mm should not exist in an upscaled 1080p. It’s insulting.

^Yes, Walken’s head, chimneys, roofs and everything that have borders contrasting with that white sky are somehow blurred, not well defined, just like when you try to blow up a 72dpi jpg upscaling it as it was a 300dpi HQ image.
