Watching MXT for the first time in forever and yes, the Queen did that. I love the who MX era - the album, the visuals, the tour… I miss my creative Queen.
Yes, she might strip and go topless on Instagram, or have Mozart coming out of her front bottom on stage, but she’s still very capable of creating something that goes on a journey.
Whether you like it or not is all down to taste, but you can’t deny she keeps pushing forward in ways only she can: Madonna will always be Madonna.I have a bad feeling about this.Comment

The only thing really missing from the era was some great promotion. One award show in the US and singing a couple of album tracks at Eurovision wasn’t the way to sell the album.
But I appreciate the thought and creativity Madonna put into the whole project. We got so much content (compared to what we’re used to) both visually and physically - Madonna was finally playing the game and had multiple versions of the album across different formats.
This is why it’s so important to recognise that Madonna’s instagram is just an illusion. It plays to her odd humour, but it is not her creative outlet - nor does it diminish her ability to continue being an artist away from it.
Fans might roll their eyes at the whole ‘artists are here to disturb the peace’ thing, but art is good for the soul. I don’t think Madonna cares about what you engage with, as long as she’s nudged you to ‘wake up’ and inspired you go out and engage with something.

Her IG is an illusion but doesn't it have the risk of turning off casual fans? She needs GP on her side if she's really doing a stadium show but with this kind of behavior and extremely high prices, i doubt she can sell out stadiums except for LATAM countries.Cha Cha Instructor

Madonna is too famous not to sell concert tickets. All she has to do is promote her shows as a greatest hits tour and ensure her price point is tempting. There’s a million ways she could promote the tour and boost ticket sales. The obvious way would be a round of interviews and a few TV performances of her hits (something she’s never done, aside from that time she performed Borderline in order to meet Obama), perhaps alongside a new EP, photoshoot, single and video.
I’m also not worried about the whole ‘having to sell out’ thing. Wembley stadium can hold up to 80,000 people - if Madonna only sells 60% that’s still 50,000 people she’s playing to, which is still more than double the capacity of The o2 arena. The thing to remember is that Madonna has been pretty clever about her touring routes over the last decade, which will help build up demand - even in London, for example, she’s only put 55,000 tickets on sale in the last ten years.
But I honestly don’t think the public are all that aware (or care) about her instagram. It’s just tabloid fodder and clickbait, and fans moaning more than anything.I have a bad feeling about this.Comment

Yes, Warner appear to still own everything 1982 - 2010. Everything from 2011 onwards is owned by Madonna but licensed out - all of her Interscope records will be licensed out to Warner from 2024.Originally posted by UnapologeticKenny View Post

Madonna had a bigger platform and a larger audience back then. A lot of the things she has fought for, have evolved in such a way that the fight doesn’t necessarily need her anymore.
Things like AIDS awareness - people are so much more knowledgeable than they were in the 1980s, and her support of LGBTQ+ communities has never once waived, but we are now in a position to promote and fight our own corners now.
It’s like how people claim Vogue was culture appropriation and completely overlook the fact Madonna invited the community on that whole journey with her. They stood side by side with her in her music video, vogued at the MTV Awards, danced on one of the most iconic tours of all time, and starred - as openly gay black men - in one of the most famous documentaries to ever make the big screen.
That’s exactly what Madonna did with the Batukaderas on Madame X. She offered those ladies a chance to record a song that put their heritage onto an album that would be heard in every country on the planet. She put their story into the music video, and she shared her stage with them on Broadway and the West End.
Madonna will always be Madonna. She continues to celebrate, promote and introduce things to the world. She might not do it as loud as she once did, but it’s still there for those still looking.I have a bad feeling about this.Comment
