I loved her early image too, through 1991. Personally her latter looks usually blur together, or I guess I've grown out of being interested in image, but the evolution and detours she took from 1983-1991 was almost as interesting as the music. I can't think of another artist in the past 25 years who has taken such a drastic yet successful reinvention from the Like A Virgin era to True Blue, and just a year difference too.

Madonna in New York (October 17 2011)

Love to see she doesn't look her age at all when she wears casual and with no make up: she still rocks

It's true those are two alltime classic video....Hardcore Fans in general tend to underestimate her 80's efforts
I'm more casual her fan. I love her in 80s more.
    My favourite her albums:
Like A Virgin, Madonna, True Blue.
(Singles in that period were amazing pop)

Yes, Madonna in bride dress is classic photo.

Everything else should have been kept for b-sides
Everyone can create his own album...more songs just give you a wider choices!! I Like your list btw!!

I agree with NoAngel I wouldn't have put out "Rain": I've been skipping it for years, I discover how it's beautifull this song just lately....LOL!! "Bye Bye Baby" and "Fever" have been amongst the faves of the album for years since I got the album.....

But this was 1992, it was when vinyl had really faded from view and a lot of artists were suddenly given far more space to fill up an album compared to a few years before when 45-50 mins was the max unless you wanted a higher priced double album, and I think Erotica was one of those 90's albums that suffered from artists feeling like they needed to put out longer albums to fill up space when there's a brilliant 45 minute album in there.
The worst case is Dangeous from Michael Jackson!

Jesus! From track 1 to track 6 (from Jam to Can't Let Her Get Away) those tracks could be much better with half their sizes!

Erotica is not that tragic i think...Did You Do It is the only filler for me IMO
Agreed with all you said + I would have shortened "In This Life" the song that above all is TOO long!!!
"Did You Do It": well I even do not consider it a Madge song

    Erotica Good album!!

The only song I don't get is Did You Do It?

The album flows so good & I love her vocals in it. I did feel like some of the songs dragged on to much but I still liked them

Erotica, Fever, Bad Girl, Waiting, Rain, Why's It So Hard >>>

Going to give it another spin

you've never heard Secret or Human Nature? Definitely a better r&b effort than Hard Candy for sure.
    Bedtime Stories is amazing.
The strangest thing is... most of the stuff on it sounds fresher than those on most actual R&B/Pop artists' albums released around the same time period, like "janet." & "Musicbox", both of which haven't aged too well, in my opinion.
