You missed my point completely. I didn't say that EVERYONE thinks women become less attractive as they get older...but it is many people's viewpoint, especially in the U.S.A. I also wasn't saying Madonna isn't attractive as I find her to be very pretty.

As far as the comment about her being a punchline goes, that's your opinion but I disagree. Yes, she has work done but I don't think it stops headlines like you're insinuating.

i hate it that Madonna will release a new album probably around March/April...i bet it's not during Christmas...she won't do much promotion, and it'll be an excuse to go on tour during the summer...which means shitty videos, etc...i hope the music is great though

You know at first I didn't think much of Gaga. I loved Just Dance and LoveGame, didn't really care about Paparazzi and Poker Face although they were alright. The Fame Monster though made me a fan (not the album the singles). I thought Bad Romance, Telephone and Alejandro were all tremendous pop singles with the best videos any commercial artist has done since the 90s (excluding Kylie Minogue who has delivered loads of great videos well into the '00s). And "Speechless" was so amazing in all its versions (especially live) and showed that Lady Gaga really had the potential to be a great artist (why the hell they never released it is beyond me)

But then this era has completely pulled me off her. She seems to have believed her own hype and to be trying to be some kind of a megamix of all '70s/'80s artists all at one without having any good songs to back it up. Her videos look silly by now (Judas reminds me of the beginning of one of those 70s road sexploitation movies, Born This Way just looks like a 70s video as well), her sound is so 90s eurodance (and not very good eurodance either) and she takes the Madonna mimick way too far. I don't think there is any other artist in my 34 years of age that I liked a lot and disliked a lot in such a short time span

My thoughts exactly...she has talent but doesnt seem interested in showcasing that..atleast not right now.

And about the article.. I dont agree with the American Life line but yea not surprised the review is bad. And why is born this way always compared to express yourself in what its trying to say. I think if you want to compare it to a Madonna song; Deeper and Deeper is more apt. Deeper and Deeper is also about accepting oneself except it does a much better job of getting that point across. Express Yourself is about female enpowerment. And born this way doesnt even sound like express yourself; its just bland thats all.
