Bedtime Stories, for example, turns thirty next year and we’ve only ever had two songs from it performed on tour (not counting Take a Bow’s random appearance on a couple of RHT dates).
Blond Ambition didn’t suffer from having Sooner or Later performed, nor did Reinvention Tour lack because Madonna performed a couple of non-singles from American Life. Yet both tours are basically greatest hits tours.
Many acts release new music, go on tour and just perform their hits. Celine Dion’s Courage Tour, for example, was her first global tour in over a decade, and she only included two songs from her Courage album. Paul McCartney did a tour last year and only included one song from his most recent album. On his previous tour, he performed two songs from a new album released two weeks before the tour started.
New Madonna music is not an obstacle.
