Starting next week, it will be two – the Pharrell Williams-produced “Blow” at Top 40, and the
Jay Z-assisted “Drunk In Love” at R&B/Hip Hop, according to multiple sources who confirmed plans to Billboard.
“XO,” a rousing ballad penned by Ryan Tedder and The-Dream, will follow later in 2014 as the second single at Top 40. Not that the new album is about one song – even to radio programmers, many of whom started playing “Beyonce” in its entirety on Friday.
b*tch is f*cking crazy... I love it
I'm late to the party, and nearly missed it since I only got to know thanks to a friend, who told me "I love Beyoncé's new album", and I was like "What album? 4 is 2 years old!"
This thing is, at least, borderline alternative. The productions, the vocals, the layers... Incredible.
Two of my dream collabos have came true, Frank Ocean and Chairlift!! Right off the start of "No Angel" I realised it had some influence, but then it became obvious.
I have to say, I'm really excited to see Beyoncé doing the iconic Crazy Horse Paris acts in her new video!
I adore Beyonce. She has always been genuinely kind to me, graciously writing thank you notes whenever I send her my products as gifts, plus I think she has the right balance of elegance and sensuality in pop music. And personally, I think that this thing she did, casually dropping an album without all the pre-publicity speaks volumes of her confidence in her work!
I love it!
I'm looking forward to seeing her Crazy Horse Paris video, it's about time someone had the good sense to tribute this iconic, elegant Parisian landmark in a fabulous way. I hope it brings more attention to the show, and that Beyoncé's many fans will get to see the real Crazy Horse Paris show one day too.
I just wanted to show my adoration and support for one of the few "girls' girls" like Beyoncé!
xx
Dita Von Teese
I ABSOULTELY LOVE the new album! It's really mature witch I love... It's like nothing she's ever done before and her hard work has sure as hell paid off. My favorite tracks atm are:
"Jealous" (I ******* LOVE IT)
XO ( LOVE LOVE LOVE)
"Partition" (So edgy and catchy)
"Haunted" (LOVE!)
It's taking me a little longer to warm to the other songs but I just know already it's gonna be my favorite album l hers! I love how experemental it is! I LOVE YOU B!!!!
TIME Regrets Naming Pope Francis 'Person Of The Year' After Beyoncé Drops Surprise Album
Staff at TIME have been left fuming after Beyoncé released a surprise album just days after the magazine chose the Pope as their Person Of The Year.
"I told them we should wait a few weeks for any late entries," one unnamed staffer told HuffPost UK Comedy. "But they wouldn't listen. Now look what's happened."
"Beyoncé unexpectedly dropping a new album is a complete game-changer," said another. "There's nothing Pope Francis could have done to beat this... except for releasing an album. And even then, he'd have to better 14 new songs and 17 videos."
Beyoncé is now expected to be a last-minute entry on at least 500 end-of-year lists, including 2013's Best Albums and 2013's Most Overrated Albums.
anyways... 'XO' is the song composed by Ryan Tedder and the The Dream. While it certainly is a Great song... I don't know about it being better than 'Halo"
