4 would have underperformed even without those artists. Everyone was jumping on the EDM backwaggon (and so did she with RTW), but the rest of the album is a soul record. The album did suffer from a very poor choice of singles as well, which didn't help either. RTW was the album's Grown Woman/Formation, tucked at the end with no relation to the rest of the album.
I agree that she should have given End Of Time a chance to shine. It should've definitely been the lead single, followed by Countdown, Love On Top, Dance For You and Party.
