I have just learned that since Spirit is a Disney song there are 44 versions of it in different languages.
The french version slaps.

I know she started a trend with Single Ladies, but just imagine the impact she would have now if she dropped it in a world with Instagram and Tiktok. Talk about breaking the internet.

I'm glad these songs are getting attention though, it shows that people appreciate her bops. I hope more of her ballads would get their flowers, "Roc" and "Brown Eyes" seem perfect for the TikTok kids. Especially for the upcoming Valentine's Day. Somebody make one quick!

This is the third trend with her music going on right now, alongside Freakum Dress and Grown Woman. The GP (and the TikTok generation) is here for her music, they just need more exposure to it.

Ghost/Haunted could have been a worldwide hit. Fight me on that. Haunted at least. I remember my sister showing me some remix which was circling around at the time for it. And she is far from a fan.

In short, many Lemonade & ST tracks are not made to achieve worldwide success. In the US, sure maybe among certain demographics. Internationally, nope.
Her lead singles were choices though, admittedly. It took me years to come around to DIL (and I still hate that constant screaming chorus) and when I first heard Formation… one day I’ll go back to the thread and see what I said about it, but I honestly think it’s genius now.
But I still think Bey’s single choices are commercially driven though - the intention isn’t to have a hit single, but to showcase the album and get a sale. Going forward that’ll be interesting because of streaming - I’m not sure you can have a big streaming album without a big streaming single.
All I want from B7 is a big dance number and a big ballad. She can do what she wants with the rest, though I wouldn’t say no to BDay 2.
Her albums turn 20/25 this decade - I wonder if we’ll get deluxe editions?

She would slay a renaissance or a medieval concept.
Regarding commercial success, Beyoncé already experienced it with 4. That's when she stopped chasing commercial music and started making art. I'm not saying her previous albums were bad, they are all very good albums and 4 is her best album ever. But when the pressure of commercial success is off, artists can be more creative and Selftitled and Lemonade proved that. Still, i want bops like End of Time on B7.

I know it's still a rumour but I'm still not quite sold on the renaissance concept, simply because she's played around with the ancient king/queen aesthetic a few times already.
Unless it's more 2003 Pepsi commercial with Britney, Pink & Enrique and less "Apeshit"/Mrs. Carter Show tour ads then sure, I'm intrigued.

I don't know about the music industry in general but I want Beyonce to be my boss.
I'd probably get fired after a day for staring at her too much or for saying something about her lack of promotion

Harry Styles just announced tour dates for the summer. So a Q1 release and tour in the summer. Let's see if Bey follows.
