  • Missy Elliott

At one point, she was arguably the biggest female superstar in hip-hop/rap! And now whilst that crown likely belongs to Nicki Minaj, there is no denying Missy Elliott's impact!

I'm just listening to the absolutely brilliant "4 My People" and wishing that I was a bit more familiar with Missy's career.

What other tracks has she done comparable to "4 My People"? What songs go down well in bars/clubs?

The DJ at my bar spun "4 My People" last night, and it went down 10x better than the new Britney track, and most recent efforts by Rihanna/Katy Perry/Katy B etc. People loved it!

Out of female hip-hop artists, Missy and Eve are the only 2 where I regularly hear their past hits in the clubs.
For Missy tracks like "Get Ur Freak On", "Work It", "4 My People" and "Lose Control" go down really well! They are all proper floor fillers!

When she makes her comeback I really hope she will go all the way back to the top! I love how she has never demoted herself to creating beef and all that jazz.

Missy & Eve >>>> All the rest.

Missy needs to come back soon. But her "Behind The Music" special is showing tomarrow, so hopefully that's a sign of her returning

She lost 'it' a while ago for me. All her songs began sounding the same, with that annoying chanting.

And she was incredibly annoying on 'Turn Da Lights Off' by Tweet, which is actually a gorgeous song.

However, most of her work up until 'Under Construction' is great and very creative. And her videos are amazing!

One Minute Man is such a hot song. Shows she sing too. Ludacris is damn filthy on the song. Underrated though, inspite of being Top 10 in UK, and Top 20 in US.

I love Under Construction and Miss E...So Addictive a lot. 4 My People (Basement Jaxx) remix is superb.

She is clearly the best female rapper ever. She, her music, and her videos are actually supa dupa fly.

Her Behind The Music episode on Behind The Music was so eye-opening about her life! I knew about a lot of the things they talked about but when you hear things coming directly from her it really is so much more 'real'.

Like I wasn't aware just how close her and Aaliyah were, and I never realised that her and Timbaland were friends before the fame.

Her Behind The Music episode was great! I'm glad she told some of her issues from her past and reasons why she's been out of the spotlight. But now hopefully she comes back harder than ever

It was great. But it also reminded me of how amazing Supa dupa fly and Da real world were. She was my fave artist for soo long I want that Missy back.

I need some new Misdemeanour music in my life... like now. I've been wating for Block Party for like 4 years and there's still no news. Pass That Dutch and Gossip Folks are my absolute favourite songs she's ever made. I also watched her behind the music episode and it was certainly an eye opener.

                                                PLEASE COME BACK MISSY!!!

Missy Elliott And Timbaland To Drop Solo LPs In June

'We want to do it as a movement,' Timbo tells MTV News of releasing new material at the same time.

Timbaland and Missy Elliott make a perfect musical match. Though it's been a while since we've seen the two in full swing, the Virginia duo will join forces once again in a very big way later this year.

"Me and Missy are both coming with our albums at the same time, and it will be in June," Timbo told MTV News in his Miami home February 3.

It's been three years since Timbaland released Shock Value II and seven years since Missy dropped The Cookbook. If all goes according to plan, fans won't have to wait much longer.

"Right now, we're preparing to get both our videos, our first singles, shot kinda at the same time," Tim said. "We want to do it as a movement and spontaneously."

Last June, Missy revealed to People magazine she had been diagnosed with the autoimmune disorder Graves' disease. Initially, it was speculated that Missy's health was the cause of the huge gap in her discography, though Elliott later issued a statement dismissing that notion.

The "Get Ur Freak On" rapper has been putting in plenty of work behind the scenes as a songwriter and producer for Keyshia Cole, Monica and Jazmine Sullivan. She even hooked up with Timbo on Demi Lovato's "All Night Long" from the pop singer's 2011 Unbroken album. Missy is also a guest vocalist on J. Cole's next single, "Nobody's Perfect," and is expected to appear in the song's upcoming video.

It all seems like an exciting build to a triumphant return for both artists. "I just don't want to move too ahead of her and she don't want to move too ahead of me," Timbaland said. "So we're both doing it at the same time."
                                                  YEAH!!
                                                  Big.Big.Booty.
