So happy they made the final. Now all they have to do now is win.

'E.T.' is easily my favourite performance of theirs and I think it was a very important turning point for them.

In the first 3 weeks, I liked their performances but watching them now shows just how much they've improved. At first, they were trying too hard to be young and modern and different and urban. But with 'E.T.', I think that's when people started taking them seriously. They should perform it again at the final .

^^ I agree, it made me love the song, which I hadn't previously liked very much.

Also still can't believe we've never seen their auditions!

They're gonna win without their auditions being shown, what a LOL

Maybe none of them ever auditioned and the whole thing was a set up.

Well we were briefly shown a 5 second clip of Perrie doing "Only Girl In The World" in one of those montages, but that's all.

Simon Cowell is reportedly hoping to turn X Factor's Little Mix into the new Spice Girls.

The former judge will apparently give the girl band a record deal worth millions of pounds regardless of whether they win this weekend's final and plans to make them stars in the US as well as the UK.

Little Mix will tour with One Direction to kick start their career and Cowell has recruited top writers to work on new material for the band, according to The Sun.

A source said: "Simon is thrilled by the quality of this year's finalists - but he's extra excited about Little Mix. He genuinely believes they could be bigger than the Spice Girls. He's had huge successes in his career but a massive girl band has not really been one of them.

"Simon is extremely competitive and would love it if he could beat his old rival at his own game. The Spice Girls set the bar high but Simon thinks there's no reason Little Mix can't better them. They are young and they work phenomenally hard, so the sky's the limit.

"There hasn't been such love for a girl band in years. Even Girls Aloud didn't have the initial buzz on Popstars: The Rivals that Little Mix have had. Simon will watch the final via satellite in Los Angeles. He has been showing all his industry pals there clips of Little Mix, saying, 'Watch out for these girls - they're going to be massive'."

I really don't get that impression! The girls have me LOLing so much in their VT's, Jade especially who seems to be the most innocent and unassuming of the 4

I'm glad they won, however, I don't think it would work, waiting until the next series to launch their first single

They should get a single out in the summer, then launch the second single and album on the X Factor

X Factor winners Little Mix plan to 'write their own music'

Little Mix, who beat Marcus Collins to become X Factor 2011 champions, have insisted they do not want to be girl band 'clones' and are planning on 'writing their own stuff'.

Speaking of what comes next for the X Factor girl band, Little Mix's Perrie Edwards said: 'We've got the track coming up, it's going to be incredible, it's going to be a great experience and after that it will be the album and we'll start writing and we can't wait to get into the studio and start writing our own stuff.'
Jade Thirlwall was also keen to ensure there was some originality in the group, backing up Perrie by saying: 'We have a music team we'll be working with and they'll have ideas and hopefully we'll have ours and we can work together and come up with an absolute tune and good songs for the album.'

Little Mix now plan to take a well-earned holiday after ten gruelling weeks of X Factor live shows, before getting to work in the studio. Perrie also spoke of what it feels like to be looked up to by thousands of girls, and how she believes they do not fit the usual girl band mould. She said: 'It's incredible, it's a good thing to have said about you isn't it? It feels so great that girls can look up to you. 'We've each got our own individuality and girls can look up to you and say 'I want to be like that one or I'm like her'. 'We're not a girl group that's just clones of each other. We're all so different.'

But their best performance on TXF was definitely "Cannonball".
