Madonna was never taken seriously as an artist and look where she is now.

But i'm pretty sure she's gonna have a huge meltdown soon.

Great article... Also, it was the VMAs, not Grammys!

And the album, I can not wait for!

After that "twerk" video and the Snoop Lion feature, I'm actually starting to like her.

She seems very "visable" at the moment so hopefully new solo music can't be too far off.
Smart getting collabs with Will.I.Am and Snoop to get her name back out there too.
Keep playing this game Miley and this new era could be quite exciting.

I don't even really care for Miley but after watching that I might have to start stanning for her. Bish better twerk it out.

Listening to stay and Who Owns My Heart. Her belting is crazy. Her emoting is satisfactory. I feel that she has the potential to be an amazing balladeer.

I agree. All the songs sound samey after awhile. But Liberty Walk and Who Owns My Heart are AMAZING.

Actually I think all of Miley's albums are hit and miss, I feel the same about Breakout. Bottom Of The Ocean, Fly On The Wall, The Driveway, Simple Song & the two deluxe edition tracks (Hovering & Someday) are superb, but the rest is meh IMO.

Can't Be Tamed has a lot of great tracks, but just as many duds (mainly the ballads, especially that misguided cover of 'Every Rose Has Its Thorn'). I've never listened to the whole of Breakout, but I love 'Fly On the Wall'.

I have a good feeling about her new album. She's been working with a lot of cool people, and she seems to be really excited about the music. That's always a good sign.

She has a big chance to get a huge hit. I almost thought that Can't Be Tamed was going to bury her to irrelevance, but people are still talking about her personal life, fashion style and hair, etc. I hope she releases a great album with hits!

I'm thinking that this will be her "Blackout" or "Good Girl Gone Bad/Rated R" if treated correctly.
"Can't Be Tamed" was her Disney emancipation album (not giving "Robot" single treatment was a big mistake) so I'm interested in how she'll define herself as an artist going forward.
The urban aspect is really interesting and I can't wait for some more info, imagery and material from this era.
    I'm excited.

The production list is very interesting!

I think if there are going to be any comparisons soundwise, it could be something like Love.Angel.Music.Baby tbh

I wouldn't be so sure! I think she'll have more of a Rihanna sound and pretty Risky. She's worked with lots of urban acts like Pharrel, Tyler The Creator, Mac Miller and Hit Boy etc. it is going to be really interesting and I think this year she will be huge and she could easily be one of the biggest sellers! ;)

Looking forward to it, I found Can't Be Tamed a bit lacklustre to be honest. Also I'm glad she's left Hollywood Records.

2013 will be a big year for some (ex) Disney artists. New albums by Miley, Selena and Demi. Even Victoria Justice could release an album. Will be interesting to see who will be the most successful one

I can't wait for Miley's new album. IMO "Can't Be Tamed" was her best album so far and while it wasn't that successful in the US, i think it was her most successful album in Europe. I was so glad it reached so many Top10 or even Top5/3 placements.

BUT i'm a little bit sad because last year she said she's releasing the single before the year end -.-

    started a topic Miley Cyrus

    Miley Cyrus

Cyrus' first album for RCA will be released later this year

Pop singer Miley Cyrus has signed a deal with RCA Records, who will release her so-far untitled album later in 2013. Among the A-list collaborators on the album will be Dr. Luke, known for producing a slew of hits for stars like Katy Perry and Nicki Minaj, in addition to Cyrus' 2009 anthem "Party in the U.S.A."

At last September's iHeartRadio Music Festival, the singer revealed that she'd also booked time with producers like Pharrell Williams, Hit-Boy, and Da Internz. She told Billboard: "I've been in so many sessions and just kind of bunkering down and working really hard and perfecting everything. I've never really had time to do that, to kind of have my record kind of 'done' and then sit there and make it until it's perfect. So, it's been really, really fun. This whole year that's all I've really dedicated life to."

On a less expected note, she also admitted to working with Tyler, the Creator on a track for the new LP.

Cyrus' 2013 LP will follow the underwhelming 2010 release, "Can't Be Tamed," which sold only 343,000 copies in the U.S. (according to Nielsen Soundscan) and was her last for Hollywood Records. She's only four years removed from the smash hit "Party in the U.S.A.," which sold 5.1 million downloads and went all the way to No. 2 on the Hot 100.

The upcoming album was recently featured in Billboard's 2013 Best Bets.
