For those of you who don't know the 'fourth wall': It's usually used in the context of movies and shows when a (fictional) character becomes aware of the fact that they are part of a fictional narrative. The same could also occur in songs when the singer drops hints they could only drop if they knew they were part of a song.

Examples that come to my mind:
