It's always been broadcasted in Turkey but i can't be bothered to watch it at 4 am unless Madonna is performing or making an appearance.

Personally I could never sit through the whole thing. I watch some performances and that is it. I cannot cope with the US TV of having a ten minute ad break after every 5 minutes of the show.

Same here. I'm also very specific when it comes to live performances. If I don't enjoy it, I just don't. That's why I'm always thankful whenever someone leaks the rundown prior to the show.

They used to be broadcasted live at a big german TV programm.. I mean it's in the middle of the night anyway, you don't have much competition but they stopped a few years ago I guess it was to expensive to get the rights

well they already paid for the right to run Big Bang so it's basically no cost for them to re-run and for an exclusive show like the Grammys it's probably quite expensive to get its rights which then is not really lucrative compared to the air time when you could also run a show you've already paid for even if that mean a few 10k less viewers

But like how many Germanic people are actually gonna stay awake until 4am to watch the Grammys ? Ten. Why would they bother ?

yes not many but I mean it attracted enough viewers over the years too. I mean sunday night closing in on monday isn't exactly prime time

But with the right lineup they would have enough fans watching the show. Still as I said even if it attracts a few 10k more viewers it's not worth buying rights for. The Grammys should just let the event be streamed anyway. I don't even have TV programs anymore I'll just watch Netflix &Co can't be bothered witht the rest

I don't use my TV at all these days. I haven't turned it on in over three years.

Well, it's the exact opposite for me. I couldn't bother about Netflix etc. and they've completely lost me when streaming company x offers this exclusive show, streaming company y that exclusive show, etc.

I've now made peace with the fact that there will be no surprise performance and music release from Adele, Beyoncé and Rihanna.

Rihanna was an outlier, and I remember Bey's 2014 performance was announced hours before the show. Insiders are still claiming that Adele will be dropping between the 12th and 19th of March.

It's all up in the air really.

It is a bit bizarre they are continuing with the status quo in this regard, especially as this isnt the first time this issue has been raised.

I would say they could perhaps rotate some of the awards that are featured?

The issue, of course, is that there are sooo many awards and the show is already really long.

Let's be honest. People expecting them to air r&b categories this year were fooling themselves. There's barely star power and the Grammys are firstly and mostly star****ers. Actually Best Rap Song feels like a SOTY-like category with those huge hits there. It was a no brainer imo.
