Although I can see him getting Best R&B Performance as consolation. Which I hope doesn't happen because
a) Black Parade deserves it
b) Imagine the uproar if the only televised R&B category goes to a white guy

Happy that BTS didn't win win that noise. I don't mind Taylor getting some recognition this time around, let's see if she does.

In general the winners overall look quite diverse and refreshing. A good mix.

BTS may serve a better chance in 2022. I think the competition in their categories is quite tough.

So far I haven't heard anything from BTS which captivated me, but Dynamite was appalling. If they win, let them win by singing in Korean at least and not that forced mess.

A bit sad that 'Collide' or 'Do It' didn't get R&B song. Some of my absolute faves from last year.

It's not even medium quality haha. I just thought that the hype and success would have made it a winner.

They do like Ariana and Lady Gaga, so I guess the combination of both was enough to get a win.

This! And I also hope this really humbles the Army down. They're really getting cocky out here like please, the only reason "Dynamite" was nominated was because it's getting pushed in the US & it's all in English. I used to like BTS but damn, the quality of their music has been regressing like A LOT ever since they started pandering to the US.

And yeah I agree, honestly I don't see a pure Korean song winning a Grammy anytime soon but it is an American-centric award show anyways so I don't think they should aim for it. There are a lot of other talented K-Pop acts out there with quality music, they just don't cater to American audience & don't have the same support and success BTS do.

I mean, it's experimental I guess .Though he does seem to play lots of instruments and the academy love them some 'real' artists (like H.E.R.). Has he written for other big artists before?

Yeah his is very experimental, but it is because he incorporates dozens of vocal layers and instruments. The guy is fascinating in my opinion.

I think SZA's Good Days is his biggest collab.

H.E.R. is the most overrated artist of the past few years. The love she gets from the Grammys for her mediocre EPs seriously puts me off her music.

I'm actually excited for the "WAP" performance. Both Cardi & Megan have always impressed me with their major TV performances granted the pre-recorded verses (with Cardi at least) so I'm looking forward to see what they're gonna bring to the table!
