I forgot about Summer Walker. She could get it from CxH as her album is more critically and commercially successful. Having said that, her behaviour isn't great and her social anxiety has resulted in minimal promo, while CxH and their tennis court have been everywhere this year.

I think The Weeknd might have done it as a statement? He had R&B in the bag, but maybe he wanted to prove that a non white artist can win in Pop too? I can't even remember the last one to do so.

If we talk about quality there is no competition in that cetegory even After Hours would've been there. The girls deserve it, hands down!

Yeah, good thinking. Although it does put it against WAP and those two are definitely going to split votes.

I'm also surprised with Harry's submissions. Adore You for SOTY makes sense, but Watermelon Sugar should've been submitted for ROTY. Watermelon Sugar for Pop Solo Performance is even more random without a GF submission

Sometimes the Grammys pannel moves artists' submissions to another category. Maybe that whats's happened.

Regarding Dua Lipa: She's got the critical and commercial success on her side, but I don't feel like she's dominating the year in a 'Jagged Little Pill' or '21' kind of way. But then again, impact is not the main criterion as 'Nevermind' didn't win AOTY back in the day and 'Back to Black' lost against an album by a jazz singer I never heard of before. The Grammys are unpredictable: They could go for Dua Lipa's album or for a random country album, which didn't even reach the Billboard 200 - who knows?

They should've had a different poster for Chloe x Halle instead of cramping them with 2 other acts.

I would love for Dua Lipa to sweep. She has critical acclaim and streaming numbers on her side and it would be awesome for the UK to have more Grammy winners. Harry Styles deserves some love from the committee too.
