I agree with this point (blank). And Kelly solo is much better.

Kelly has quite a few gems in her catalogue, but overall her output is inconsistent, and ultimately lackluster compared to DC. To me she is the definition of unrealised potential.
While I still love her as a solo artist, DC wins this one for me.

After a slight delay ( ), I can confirm that Destiny's Child win this first battle! Alas, Kelly's output appears to be too inconsistent for the majority of respondents!

          Battles So Far

          #1 - Kelly Rowland (39%) v Destiny's Child (61%)

#2 - Cheryl or Girls Aloud?

Solo or together: the premise is simple, I pick a famous group that eventually split and resulted in 1 or more artists going solo. You then decide which you prefer based on the music output - the soloist or the group? With each act, I will post 6 of their most famous songs to help remind you of their output.

          Off you go.

Together. Cheryl’s albums are generally filler bar a couple of singles; even her album campaigns normally die after the first or second single.

Vocally the Nadine and everyone else set up of GA sounds a lot better, while sonically they were a lot more innovative than Cheryl.
                  late.

Girls Aloud, and it's not even close.

I have a massive soft spot for Girls Aloud so I think I'll vote for them, as Cheryl never really reached those lofty heights as a soloist.

However, her singles discography is almost flawless - so many bops.

Girls Aloud. Sound of the Underground (quite possible their only good song) >>>>> whatever Cheryl released solo.
