They didn't specify. Nobody put "remix" in their submissions though.

Katy was really killing it during that era. I was obsessed with "E.T", "California Gurls" and "Teenage Dream". Ironically, the arguably biggest hit off that album "Fireworks" did nothing for me at all.

All About That Bass was fun, can you imagine it was originally offered to Beyonce IIRC. Similarly Cheap Thrills is a bop. and possibly one of the shining examples of the Trop Pop craze in 2016.

California Gurls started the Teenage Dream monster era. Funnily in retrospect the whole comparison to Tik Tok Musically speaking (weren't they both Dr Luke productions?) didn't feel like it was quite as big a thing at the time IIRC, compared to something like the whole Halo vs Already Gone with Ryan Tedder the year before do you think. EDIT: well found a few articles from mid 2010, a few were noticing the similarities back then too.

E.T. as i've mentioned before had a bit of a drawn out release from being touted as next single in December 2010 and getting radio play, actually released in Feb 2011 (w/Kanye verses) then the video didn't drop until literally the last day of March. The Era was chugging along so strongly though on the back of the previous singles, it didn't seem to faze the GP much chartwise, it became another #1 in the US.

Lights is nice. Did Burn already chart? Wonder if theres more Ellie coming, Love Me Like You Do hasn't appeared yet either.

Theyre both cool, I had Summertime Sadness in mind but didn't vote it. The Cedric Gervais remix slaps and gives it a bit of different dimension.

Quick look at my list (i'll post another update after the #101 heading into Top 20) I have about 8 songs remaining, and my #8 is the last of my Top 10.

I'll be forever puzzled why Witness came and people just collectively lost interest. I know it's the nature of the industry, but it still felt sudden. I'll admit I was pretty tired of Katy after her Teenage Dream era; I thought Katy played her cards right by waiting a couple of years to release Witness, but I was wrong. I felt ready to give her a chance again. Not for me personally, but I still think overall the hair was a huge mistake. It may be petty, but it was part of her image.

Imagine how it was for me to stifle the urge to change my list after I saw the results coming in. A few songs I like that could have been higher if I just gave them more points.

Clearly was a fan of that phase - so weird a song like Cheerleader was a big hit - did that song do well in Australia? I'm too lazy to look it up.

Did not realize the roll-out for E.T. was so long. I wonder if we'll ever see an era that's able to last for a year again. Streaming has even changed that too. Seems like now the strategy is to release the singles ahead of time - multiple ones - and the album release almost finishes the era. Dua was able to stretch out her era for like two years with that method.

Burn did chart - it got 30 points from G$, and no one else! Love Me... has not appeared.

We're getting to the point where people will be able to figure out the top songs. We have one person who voted for 17 of the top 20 songs, and ALL of the top ten songs. So it's going to soon be about the order.

In any case, I'm about to post the next set, which includes the last of our bubbling under - the songs that just missed the top 100.

As much as I love Adele, I am a little bitter that she got the final spot instead of well, most of the ten below her, but particularly since #101 would have included an artist who didn't have other songs in the top 100. #101 is a song heppolo voted for. With today's post, all of his songs have been revealed. He ended up having only three songs make the top 100 - Robyn's Dancing On My Own at #85, Lykke Li's I Follow Rivers at #40 and the final reveal today at #21.

How annoying the system went down when I was in the midst of posting the songs.

                                  The next two shortly.

Goldmoney maybe #B! Also, you'd have to have a heart of stone not to like Call me Myabe Tho I didn't vote for it.

Borde trashes hip hop culture like she’s supposed to be some kind of expert and how does she get rewarded? With a #3 black radio hit. Despicable on all fronts.
