  • Song Title at End of Lyrics

How many hit singles are there in which the song title appears just once, right at the end of the lyrics?

A reviewer in Record Collector magazine recently claimed there were only two: Virginia Plain by Roxy Music and Up the Junction by Squeeze.

I can think of a few more:

    The Prince by Madness
    Private Investigations by Dire Straits
Just Like Heaven by The Cure

    Any others?

Also the Beatles song Here There and Everywhere - a hit for Emmylou Harris in 1976.

Can anyone think of any others?

Afraid not....title must be sung at the end for the first and only time!

Both Fernando and Chiquitita get several mentions earlier in the lyrics.

What about Bette Midler's The Rose?

Yes! The original wasn't a UK hit but the Westlife cover certainly was.
