Ok, I decided to open the K-Pop thread coz I think we could share somethin' on this Asian Genre..
for those who don't know what K-POP is... is Korean Pop.. music from South Korea... it is slightly different from Japanese music and they have they're own music industry and differ from J-Pop...

My favorite K-Pop singers are

sexy singer... wonderful look, hot body and MUSIC-wise.. amazing.. her songs are like a combination of R&B with Hip-Pop.. this is her song TOC TOC TOC which she released last year...

She's very successful in Korea as well.. although some of you may know her since she's singin in japanese too... she hasn't realesed a Korean album for a long time.. but it is said she'll come back to her roots this year (probably)... she's broken some records like bein' the first Korean singer to have a no. 1 hit in japan

Her music is always beautiful, she doesn't have any cheap stunts, and she has a lovely voice. Plus she doesn't stick to just R&B, she's done some rock and pop. Thankfully not country

GENRE: Electronica, Jazz, House

Clazziquai is a Korean fusion band that combines several genres (including electronic music, acid jazz and house). The group's first short unofficial albums were released online in 2001. Since then, their music has been used in various TV shows and movies, and has given them the chance to perform at various events.

The group's unconventional style has proven popular enough to have the group widen their focus to other countries, signing a contract with Japan's Avex Trax in 2005, in addition to gaining a licensed album in Taiwan. They have contributed to works by Japanese artists Fantastic Plastic Machine and m-flo.

SON DAM BI

GENRE: R&B, Dance, Pop

A South Korean newcomer (she debuted in 2007). Touted as "The female Rain".

She released her debut single "Cry Eye" last year with so much hype. It only received moderate success.

Recently she released a mini album "Son Dambi Mini Album Vol.1" The lead title was the dance song "Bad Boy"

RAIN

GENRE: R&B, Hip-hop

In English-speaking countries he is known as 'Rain'. Koreans call him 'Bi' (pronounced as the letter B).
Rain is aa Korean singer, dancer, model, and actor.

He was mentioned as one of Time Magazine's "100 Most Influential People Who Shape Our World."

He recently appeared in the movie "Speed Racer"

NELL

GENRE: Alternative Rock

Nell is a South Korean indie rock band, named after an Academy Award nominated film, 'Nell'. They were known for their gloomy and psychedelic sound.

The band is heavily influenced by numerous British bands (such as Radiohead, Placebo, Travis, and Muse).

Nell recently released their aa;bum "Separation Anxiety" which was a big hit in their country.

I love Uhm Jung Hwa! She's awesome. One of my fave K-pop artists. I love her song "Kiss me" but the whole of her D.I.S.C.O album is pretty good
