I wanted to do a British Dance Divas survivor featuring the likes of Becky Hill, Ella Henderson, RAYE, Karen Harding, Jem Cooke, Poppy Baskcomb... but not sure if it'd have much interest... so I might just do a Becky Hill artist survivor.

I can kind of understand this, but it does feel like while trying to attract new hosts (why is this so important?), us premium hosts are being punished (can only host one at a time). There are a few of us who pretty much keep this forum running thanks to our hosting enthusiasm, and tbh, it's a bit insulting that instead of us being celebrated or rewarded, our participation is being limited in order to try and encourage new hosts.Originally posted by cheapthrills View PostUpdate to Survivor Queue
The mod team, always bored and looking for ways to complicate things, has decided to add a new expedited queue to the survivor list.
The Expedited queue is for people who haven't hosted a survivor in three months. This may be temporary depending on how things go.
To go with this queue (and this should be extremely temporary) for the time being, people can only run one survivor at a time. The hope is that this will encourage more hosting participation. (hun, you're grandfathered in and can still start Japanese Janet this weekend).
The queue has gotten quite large with nearly 50 survivors in the queue. A lot of those items in the list are due to people like cheapthrills who are host addicts and hog up the queues. Now, you know I love my fellow host addicts!
- but as a result, people new to hosting a survivor are having to currently wait 5-6 months by which time they may lose interest, get busy, or just forget they asked. We're hoping an expedited queue will prevent disinterest in hosting.
About the expedited queue:
1. Album Survivors still can be reserved before release, but will not be added to the queue until the release date.
2. A person can have one survivor in the expedited queue. If more than one survivor is requested, the second goes to the regular queue.
3. The expedited queue applies only to people who haven't hosted in the last three months.
We will be pulling two survivors from the expedited queue to have 10 survivors running.
When there is nothing in the expedited queue, then there will be eight survivors.

I think it’s fair to let newbies have a go earlier on, might bring a bit of diversity and fresh ideas. Hopefully only needing to run one at a time will improve the quality of all survivors on offer too!Comment

I believe that rule will be temporary once the backlog of new hosts cycles out. I do like the inclusivity of it though. I think there are positives associated with bringing new blood to this part of the forum. For those of us who have a bunch of survivors in the queues, it's never too long before we're able to start one. But for someone just starting to host, that long of a wait is off-putting.

Wow - I have to be honest, I had forgotten I'd even agreed to do a Shed Seven survivor! I was more expecting you to tell me the Northern Ireland survivor was ready to go!

Won’t be updating anything until further notice. To be accused of cheating in my survivors after over a decade of hosting is too insulting to bear. I do these games for fun and as a bit of an escapism from the real world, but the joy has been taken from it now. I’ve always tried so hard to make each and every game I’ve hosted enjoyable, exciting, and fair but to then be hit back with these evil allegations, despite my transparency, is extremely upsetting and offensive.

Hey hun, it would be a shame to see you leaving, the forum AND the survivors section. I don't get why people saying this. You always did a great job on your survivors (even when I'm only participating in a few of yours) but it would be a big loss when you stop your survivors. You're a LEGEND in this section of the forum. Please let that bounce off you.

I don't think it's fair to leave your survivors hanging. You have a number of people who are engaged and participating in your survivors who have not accused you of anything.
