So - time to lose the first three songs, and already there's at least one upset. First out, there's only one song on that batch that frankly none of us were desperately fussed on - with no-one ranking it in their top 3. It's an album from 1982's "The Nylon Curtain", which was put in frankly to make up numbers. Farewell to "A Room Of Our Own".

Quite how Billy's debut single falls this round, I'm really at a loss. IMO, "She's Got A Way" is one of the finest tracks he did - but it seems that people on here in general disagree with me, as no-one else was that fussed in it at all. A live version would go on to be a modest hit in the early 80s.

Finally, we lose another track that someone on here loves. Much as I was alone in my love for the last one, cheapthrills was alone in his love for "Keeping The Faith". It went top 20 in the USA, the umpteenth single from massive 80s album "An Innocent Man".

Okay - time to lose another three songs.

First out - it's a song we were unanimous about wanting to boot this round. It really was rather making up the numbers here - the second track from his debut album - "You Can Make Me Free".

Secondly, it's another album track brought in to make up the numbers - this time from "Piano Man". We all agreed that this one should either go or barely survive - farewell to "If I Only Had The Words (To Tell You)".

Finally it's a real obscurity. The b-side to the Bruce Springsteen version of "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town" was a Billy Joel song - "Nobody Knows But Me"

It's odd, we have six voters, and each round so far a different five of the six of us have taken part! Anyway - time to lose another three songs.

First up - it's an obscure 1993 promo single "Shades Of Grey". It wasn't exactly famous, so no surprise to see it fall.

From a 1985 greatest hits package, "The Night Is Still Young" wasn't exactly huge either, though it did go top 40 in the USA.

Finally, one that was a bit more popular, with one Leo ranking it top 3 - 1990's "That's Not Her Style". It was a UK single, but alas No. 97 was the highest it could reach!
