• Put It On You (2004) - another unreleased song from the Damita Jo/20 Y.O. sessions. This has a very typical mid-2000s R&B sound.
• Put Your Hands On (2004) - this group includes Janet's two most popular bonus tracks. This one was on the Japanese edition of 'Damita Jo' and has a sensual yet disco vibe to it. I've seen it compared to Kylie and the Scissor Sisters in the past.
• R&B Junkie (2004) - 'I'm in Love' by Evelyn King provides the sample for this throwback to the 80s song. It's a fun and bouncy song which was being lined up for a single. Janet performed it during her Glastonbury set, and it seemed to be quite well-received (it was charting higher on iTunes than many other songs she performed)
• Rhythm Nation (1989) - this has become her signature song over the past few years, her anthem and plea to end injustice. A very hard-hitting new-jack swing song.
• Rock 'n' Roll (1984) - interesting how there are 2 genre-named songs in this batch! This is a leftover from 1984, so while the production and lyrics might be a little weak, her vocals are strong (she really used to sing her heart out!)
• Rock With U (2008) - a dreamy dance song released as a single in 2008.
• Rollwitchu (2006) - the other popular bonus tracks, this one is a straightforward urban jam
• Rollercoaster (2008) - Darkchild (Feedback, Make Me) produced this one
• Rope Burn (1997) - Janet explores BDSM in this sexy and popular track from 'The Velvet Rope'
• Ruff - another unreleased track. This one was produced by the Neptunes, and although Janet did talk about it in interviews, it remained hidden. However, she did use it as an interlude during her 'Metamorphosis' Vegas residency
