- Twenty Foreplay (Video Remix) (1996) - this remix was released as a single in 1996 but mostly flopped. Unlike the album version, it follows a more traditional structure, including a chorus
- Two To The Power of Love (with Cliff Richards) (1984) - Janet's first charting hit in the UK is this cheesy 80s duet
- Unbreakable (2015) - this was Janet's song for the fans after her 7 year hiatus, it has an old school vibe to it
- Velvet Rope (1997) - another experimental track from 'The Velvet Rope'. It samples 'Tubular Bells' (also featured in The Exorcist) and features a dramatic violin solo from Vanessa Mae. This album track won the previous Janet Jackson survivor in 2014!
- Warmth (2004) - Janet's ode to fellatio
- Weekend (2006) - this is a cover of an 80s club song, but it was mostly hated by her fans. Rumour has it that because of the fan reaction, the 20 Y.O. album underwent an overhaul and that's why it became a very urban record
- Well Traveled (2015) - this is the sort of song you'd close an arena tour with - which she briefly did in 2018
- What About (1997) - tackles domestic abuse - jumps from soft, acoustic verses to hard, rock choruses
- What Can I Say (2004) - the final Rich Harrison production which never made an album, this one is a lot more moody than the previous ones
- What Have You Done For Me Lately (1986) - the song which jumpstarted her career around the world, full of funk and attitude
