Welcome to the Songs of the 2010's Survivor!
This follows on from the Ultimate 2000s Survivor which was hosted by ma boi Thriller in 2021/2022 and won by Anastacia with „Left Outside Alone“, followed by Kylie with her classic „Can‘t Get You Out Of My Head“.
In the rest of the Top-10 were only women, but not only Top-10, all Songs down til rank 22 were performed by female lead Singers!
In the top 10 for that decade were legendary Songs like Britneys „Toxic“ and „Stronger“, All Saints‘ „Pure Shores“ Amy Winehouse with „Rehab“, Kylie again with „Love At First Sight“, Dido‘s „White Flag“, Evanescence‘ „Bring Me To Life" and Kelly Clarksons „Since U Been Gone“.
Since the Charts and tastes changed a lot since the 2000's, will we see any of them in our new Survivor of the past Decade?
What will be included?
-I decided to do business as usual, since Thriller did a great job with the two former survivors, I‘ll include all Songs which have been charted inside of UKs Top-10 between week 01/2010 till Week 52/2019, but I also added all Songs from the US Top-10.
-Covers / Remixes / New Versions or „Remasters“ are included.
-Since we didn‘t get such a huge Number of Songs (2000) as in the last one, everyone can add a few Songs which didn‘t receive a Top-10 spot in that time span but were charting in the US and/or UK. For example you can add „Blinding Lights“ which peaked only at #11 in the US in 2019 but came to a Top-10 peak in 2020.
The first Round will be split into Groups. After i have the total number of Songs i will decide the number of groups and songs per group.
The songs with the most votes will go through automatically to the next stage, those that don’t make it through may have another chance to do so as a wildcard later on. Then, we will have a final list to work through after the initial group stages.
Your first job is to nominate up to 30 songs of your choice that charted below the number 10 in the US / UK Charts in the 2010s. Once a song has been nominated you don’t need to choose it again as it will automatically be included.
