And to close this all off... I'd like to thank everyone who has been a part of making the survivors section great for the past 14 years, from being in the Mad About Music section to being split into their own Games forum, then the Survivors subforum and back into a general Games forum. It's been a wild ride for me, but it has come time for my reign as SoS host to end. Starting with SoS89, they will be in the very capable hands of Thriller who has done a great job as a moderator in the survivors section, so the great traditions of UKMIX survivors will stay strong.

As a parting gift (though I will still post in Retro and Personal Charts), here are all the songs that were inducted into the UKMIX Hall of Fame through the Survivor of Survivors, Survivor of Survivors of Survivors and other survivor-related means (in the next post):
Great winner but both worthy of the title.

Thank you for hosting this survivor and all the others you have I didn't know you were leaving so I wish you all the best for the future wherever that may take you

This really is an impossible choice .. both are amazing songs that stand the test of time.

But, one is iconic as a song and for the video it created.

    George Michael - Freedom! '90

Freedom 90 is an iconic George Michael song

Interesting that this survivor has two gay icons, both departed, as we celebrate Pride month

George Michael is a great star and "Freedom '90" was a great song. However, he's completely outclassed by Queen and the song is completely outclassed by the phenomenal "Radio Ga Ga" - one of my huge childhood favourites!
