Both finishing on 31 points, it's Bryan Adams and Londonbeat out that round before the semi final.

I've Been Thinking About You was #1 for 4 weeks in February/March between Divinyls and The Simpsons. The song has been covered and sampled a few times (eg Alcazar's 2004 song 'Physical') and had a remix this year by DJ Klaas.

The album In The Blood reached #12 on the albums chart (and their 1994 self-titled#94) according to wikipedia, whilst 'A Better Love' reached #25 and 'Come Back' #14 on the singles chart. Londonbeat later entered the 1995 UK Eurovision heats with 'I'm Just your Puppet on a... (String!)'

Everything I Do... spent a big 11 consecutive weeks at #1 from July to October Between Melissa and Martika. Not surprisingly it was the top of the EOY Singles chart for 1991. It was a Soundtrack song from 1991's Robin Hood : Prince of Thieves starring Kevin Costner, and also served as a single from Bryan Adams' Album Waking Up The Neighbours (#1 on the albums chart and #23 on the EOY chart).

Bryan has several other top 10 and #1 singles and albums on the ARIA Chart, previously seen in the 1995 list and will have more singles showing in 1993 and 1994's list. Although this song and album really set the tone as a breakthrough to the top of the ARIA Chart, after previously nudging the Top 15 in the 1980's and reaching #2 with his 1984 album Reckless, according to wikipedia.

Adams has also had several other soundtrack songs. The song also spent a record sixteen consecutive weeks at #1 in the UK, and was later covered by Brandy as a single in 1998/99.

I hate it when old songs make it far in these types of survivors

Umh, just discovered it wasn't a 90s song lol

It's still the best remaining song, since y'all bad taste people eliminated Bryan Adams.

It's the two sexy songs in the final as we shed Unchained Melody and Joyride in the semi.

Unchained Melody was originally released back in 1955, and the Wikipedia blurb summarises things well:
"Unchained Melody" is a 1955 song with music by Alex North and lyrics by Hy Zaret. North used the music as a theme for the little-known prison film Unchained (1955), hence the song title. Todd Duncan sang the vocals for the film soundtrack.[1] It has since become a standard and one of the most often recorded songs of the 20th century, most notably by the Righteous Brothers.[2] According to the song's publishing administrator, over 1,500 recordings of "Unchained Melody" have been made by more than 670 artists, in multiple languages.[3]In 1955, three versions of the song (by Les Baxter, Al Hibbler, and Roy Hamilton) charted in the Billboard Top 10 in the United States,[4] and four versions (by Al Hibbler, Les Baxter, Jimmy Young, and Liberace) appeared in the Top 20 in the United Kingdom simultaneously, an unbeaten record for any song.[5][6] The song continued to chart in the 21st century, and it was the only song to reach number one with four different recordings in the UK until it was joined by "Do They Know It's Christmas?" in 2014.[7][8]
Of the hundreds of recordings made, the Righteous Brothers' version in July 1965, with a solo by Bobby Hatfield, became the jukebox standard for the late 20th century. Hatfield changed the melody and many subsequent covers of the song are based on his version. The Righteous Brothers recording achieved a second round of great popularity when featured in the film Ghost in 1990. In 2004, it was number 27 on AFI's 100 Years...100 Songs survey of top tunes in American cinema.
It was of course re-released in 1990 and features here due to appearing in the iconic scenes in the movie Ghost. It held #1 for 7 weeks, six of those in 1990 taking over from Groove Is In The Heart in November 1990 and one week in January 1991 before being replaced by Vanilla Ice.

The wiki discography at a glance dosent include the Australian Charts (would have to drill down to individual songs, but as previous featured Bill Medley had previously made #1 with Jennifer Warnes in 1988 with another song featuring in the soundtrack to . a movie starring Patrick Swayze (Dirty Dancing) with '(I've Had) The Time Of My Life'. It has been covered by many artists, Including Elvis, U2, Cyndi Lauper, Leo Sayer, Gareth Gates and Lee Ann Rimes to name a few.

Joyride was #1 for three weeks in April-May 1991 between Julee Cruise and Ratcat. It was Their Third ARIA #1 single after The Look in 1989 and It Must Have Been Love in 1990. They have posted several other top 10 singles, including Fading Like a Flower, the next single peaking at #7. The Joyride Album peaked at #2 on the album's chart, following Look Sharp! also peaking at #2 and their next 2 albums reaching #3.

Joyride peaked at #9 on the EOY Singles chart whilst the album rounded out the top 10 on the EOY Albums chart.

                            Semi Final Results:
Right Said Fred - I'm Too Sexy 6

In a close final, Right Said Fred were too sexy for this match up (LOL) and edge out Divinyls to take the title 6-5 votes.

I Touch Myself was #1 for two weeks in February between Vanilla Ice and Londonbeat. It also charted highly in several other countries including Top 10 in the US and UK. The song was a bit controversial for its subject matter, one of many since about ...touching oneself.

After lead singer Chrissy Amphlett's passing in 2013, it was covered by several female artists with a new message in support of Breast Cancer awareness and research and has featured in recent adverts for Berlei featuring Serena Williams as part of the #ITouchMyselfProject. It reached #15 on the EOY Singles Chart.

The parent album diVINYLS peaked at #5, Equal with 1983's Desperate (featuring the #8 peak 'Boys In Town' from 1981) one spot below their 1985 #4 peak with What a Life! (which featured another of their well known songs 'Pleasure and Pain' #11 peak).

I'm Too Sexy was #1 for 3 weeks in November between U2 and Michael Jackson. It will also be the SoS Representative for this survivor. It reached #13 on the EOY Singles Chart.

from wikipedia about the song's origins:
The idea for the song came about when the Fairbrass brothers were running a gym in London, where according to Richard there was "lots of narcissism and posing": one day he took his shirt off and started singing "I'm too sexy for my shirt" in front of a mirror as a joke. The band originally recorded it as an indie rock song: it was rejected by multiple record companies before they played it to radio plugger Guy Holmes. He was initially unimpressed after playing it on his car stereo, however his passengers latched onto the song's "I’m a model, you know what I mean" hook and he asked the band if they could rework it as a dance track.
DJ TommyD, an acquaintance of Richard Fairbrass, programmed electronics around the original vocal, whilst guitarist Rob Manzoli added a riff borrowed from the Jimi Hendrix song "Third Stone from the Sun".
In the UK the song equalled the record for most weeks spent at #2 without topping the chart, staying for six consecutive weeks behind Bryan Adams. In 2009, Sugababes used an interpolation of it for 'Get Sexy' whilst Taylor Swift credited Right Said Fred in 2017 when she released 'Look What You Made Me Do' as the chorus follows the same rhythmic pattern as the 'I'm Too Sexy For My Shirt' line.

The follow up single 'Don't Talk Just Kiss' charted at #18 whilst the 1992 album Up peaked at #39 according to Wikipedia.
