I like the album title. Hopefully it's finally a return to form :/

The album title kinda gives me ARTPOP levels of cringe, but we'll see
I still play Joanne and the ASIB soundtrack, and a good chunk of her other stuff from time to time, and even though the version around of Stupid Love is still underwhelming, I am curious to hear what more she has in store

I'm always here for new Stefani. She may not strike it right all the time in regards to sound, but mama is an ARTIST.

Interested to see how she's gonna do pop music since she's older now.

                    Her age is irrelevant.

Some say it's the name of the character from the Stupid Love video instead of the album title. Others say there will be 12 tracks and each track will represent a color. Stupid Love represents pink.

I highly doubt that there are people thinking like: 'Well, the song is great, but the singer is exceeding my personal age limit, so I'm not going to buy it and pretend that it doesn't exist.', that sounds more like a excuse used in forms for users' favorite musicians' underperformance. It rather has to do with whether a certain song clicks with the general audience or not...

Nevertheless, I really like the album name. I hope that this will not be an album similar to Artpop, but something like Joanne + BTW.

PI is her best leading song, don't judge me

I‘m not going to write this era off yet. I think the music video is really embarrassing (I even like the one for "Perfect Illusion" more) but the song is alright and finally a fun dance song from her. That’s what I've wanted from her for seven years now.

I find it interesting that you call it an excuse, while there are various examples of ageism for years now, when it comes to playlisting and how certain acts are approached based on their age and whether they get the support (on streaming and radio) needed to get a hit. the most famous being Robbie Williams 8 years ago with 'Candy' who got removed from playlisting in the UK, and got #1 fully based on sales. but since streams have more weight than sales these days in most chartsystems, that also will limit certain older acts. There are some very recent examples as well, including The Pussycat Dolls.
I am not saying Gaga will have that problem with Stupid Love but the good @ThaInfo1 sis has a point. i mean how many (especially) artists from 35+ (I know Gaga is 33) can you name beside Sia, Maroon 5 and Billy Ray Cyrus that had a big streaming and chart hit single the past few years? Won't be a long list

Well, if this flops, ageism won’t have anything to do with it. People were waiting for a decent pop song and she came back with this? As far as I’m concerned, if there wasn’t for Dua Lipa, we wouldn’t have a decent pop song on charts right now.

You're being really naive if you don't think ageism in music exists. Just because you can't imagine people thinking that way doesn't mean it isn't so.

I feel like people have given her a pass already. That was with PI. She followed up with the soldier album Joanne but I recall she had all this great press in the lead up and gave us trite as the lead.
A Star is Born has given her such a huge platform... and she gives us an opener that (whilst I love) has no please being a lead single, and not only one of her worst videos, but one of the worst videos from recent memory.

                                        wtf.
