After hearing Starstruck and Crave, looking at their consistent single cover art, I am slightly confused what this cover has to do with it all. Nothing indicates mermaid, nothing gives vibes of fairytales, nothing gives up the vibes that he is a siren (in reference to the album name of 'night call'). I kinda expected like a colorful cover with him in leather pants or something
1. Consequences
2. Starstruck
3. Night Call
4. Intimacy
5. Crave
6. Sweet Talker
7. Sooner Or Later
8. 20 Minutes
9. Strange and Unusual
10. Make It Out Alive
11. See You Again
I'm looking forward to hearing this in full and think it will be a great start to a hopefully wonderful year. I don't think we have even heard the best songs from the album yet but so far I say:
Yes that's an improvement on the original cover for sure! I personally would have preferred this is as the cover but with a darker nighttime background.....
The roll out of this album is a mess, instead of getting Kylie on the remix of Starstruck she shoulda been the feature on the original, releasing Crave as the second singles was a mistake, Sweet Talker is doing ok on the Official Singles Chart, just like Starstruck did. I love Mark Ralph as a producer but the topic choices for the songs are ?????????????????????????? what's going on Olly?
AOTY! I didn't have to skip a single track. There is some outstanding production on Make It Out Alive and See You Again. Night Call was probably my favourite out of the unheard but there were several gems, Immaculate being one of them.
One thing though is I've read the track by track commentary and I disagree with Olly saying Consequences screams album opener, I think Sweet Talker with those strings would have been better.
