Out of curiosity, I gave the song a spin, and in the beginning, it reminds me a bit of Venice Bitch. Well, one a bit rougher version of it, less silky, if you know what I mean. The outro came unexpected, I have to say... Lana del Rey hasn't sounded this hip hop-y since Lust For Life. I still don't know what to think of this, but it's definitely interesting and a nice change from the ballad-heavy last two albums.

I will always support her but I think Katya from drag race said it best when she said “i don’t want to see the lacey camisole. That’s the real you and I love that for you but I want the femme fatale” and I honestly could not agree more. Judging by the recent interview Lana did where she said the music will remain cerebral & wordy I don’t see her moving away from the more folksy COTCC or BB style for a while.

I also believe the majority of this album was built around the stuff that was stolen from her hard drives in her car so maybe she just wants it out there as it’s lost some of its appeal due to the association to that incident.

It’s pretty good on first listen, which is promising as her albums are such growers. Really enjoyed GPSOTSOMFDSF.

That 4+ minute sermon interlude was very unnecessary though and will be muted pretty quickly
