The visuals are stunning but yes also very Björk.
The first song is definitely interesting. No hit, but it sounds like a great album opener.
Also just realized Kerli has been making comments on every insta post by Melanie lately. Ah, will there be a collab by them?!?!

Neither fond of her new aesthetics nor the song DEATH itself.
I think this era will be a complete skip for me unless she releases the song of the decade with it (which is highly unlikely).
K-12 had some catchy songs despite the rather juvenile aesthetics. However, so far Portals weirds up things a notch in the direction I don’t want her to go.It's a man's man's man's world. | My last.fm

Not very impressed at all after my first listen. I like "VOID", "BATTLE OF THE LARYNX" and "EVIL" but nothing else stood out.Britney Spears • Selena Gomez • Taylor Swift • Janet Jackson • • Michael Jackson • • Hilary Duff • Christina Aguilera •

This project is next level weird somehow. I seriously don’t know what to do with it.
I like Leeches though - especially the versesIt's a man's man's man's world. | My last.fm

It's kind of a weird song. Definitely very Björk-like, both in aesthetics and sound. It's not something I would listen to often and I don't think it's a good first single choice but I guess it works well as an album opener. I kinda like the first part until the noise starts...
I like the concept of the album, most titles seem very intriguing and I might like it. I heard the demo of Faerie Soiree and loved it, don't know it the album version is similar though.

The album is definitely a grower, after every listen I find myself appreciating a new track. It’s definitely not an easy listen or mindless background music though, you have to really kinda dive into the music and pay attention in order to start enjoying some songs. Early highlights for me are “Spider Web”, “Evil”, and “Womb”. Some songs definitely could’ve used a shorter intro and/or outro though - some parts of the album drag a bit and are too lengthy imo.
Apparently this is the last part of the “Crybaby Trilogy” - the first album was about Crybaby’s early childhood and upbringing, the second album was about Crybaby’s teenage years where school themes were used as metaphor for society and the power it has over you, and this album is about Crybaby’s death and what it experiences after dying. If I understood it correctly, after dying it finds itself in some sort of inbetween world, between life and death, where all kinds of weird things happen. That’s why the album starts with “Death” and ends with “Womb” - the cycle of life starts again at the end. Some of the lyrics were apparently inspired by reports of people who had near-death experiences and described what they saw/felt after their “death”.
