I think she can def debut at #1 with streaming and sales, plus a bit of radio...she's def a big force! Even if it didn't debut at #1, it's very likely for it to do so later when radio picks up
Taylor Swift and Speak Now look too innocent/princess like
Fearless is pretty cool!
The Target edition of Red is very nice
The 1989 cover at first was meh to me but now it's iconic
This one looks more mature and dark which is good
Amateurish is popular now. Many artists are intentionally trying to make something that looks amateurish. That's appealing to teens. Kendrick Lamar for instance. Check his artworks. Or Britney. She was doing that the whole career.
I'm here for her being a lil bit more experimental but bish I'm not here for an 8 minute track, I want her to debut at #1
She can still debut at #1 with her second single (which will probably be a safe, radio friendly pop smash), there's enough time until the album release!
I still kinda doubt it, but there's a chance she'll serve quality (rather than another forgettable Katy cover) with the first single. People would be SHOOK (myself included)!
I really do like the cover too, but the actual pic of her looks like it was from a long time ago, she almost looks like in her teen years
She always looks a lot younger with out makeup on.

I'm really split on the marketing so far. Deleting all SM posts was a really, really lame marketing ploy. But taking the "snake" meme and making it her own was amazing. Overall I think the 1989 strategy (a streamed announcement party) was better.
Sometimes 8 minute songs don't feel as long though,
I remember I used to jam to Mel C's song Enemy which is 8 minutes long too and it never felt as long...if it's a quality song it'll be a breeze, if it's a disappointment then obviously 8 mins will be a boring snooze fest
