So far I like 'It All Comes Out in the Wash' the least. I cannot believe it's the lead single. Bluebird and Mess With My Head are great!

This is pretty interesting for a country album from what I've heard so far, Bluebird is really fun and Pretty Bitchin' definitely has a sample there that I can't quite place but like very much.

      * Edit ...ok it sounds like Anywhere by Passenger.

That little noise that repeats through Bluebird reminds me of something too...like maybe some 80s ballad or something, I can't think what the track is.

Miranda Lambert to Dissect New Album ‘Wildcard’ in Apple Music Short Film

On Friday, Miranda Lambert will release her seventh studio album Wildcard. Next Monday, Apple Music will release an original short film that shows what it was like to be in the room making it.

A new teaser for “Behind Miranda Lambert’s Wildcard” is out today and shows Lambert discussing her roots, laying down tracks in the studio, and hitting the stage. She also sits for on-camera interviews where she dissects what she’s attempting to do with this album, which follows her hefty singer-songwriter effort, The Weight of These Wings, and tries to get back to a more electric sound. “Country is what I do, it’s who I am, it literally seeps out of my pores,” Lambert says, as the raucous strains of new song “Locomotive” kick in, “but I love rock & roll.”

Also featured in the film are Wildcard producer Jay Joyce (Eric Church) as well as collaborators Natalie Hemby, Ashley Monroe, Luke Dick, Liz Rose, Lori McKenna, and Hillary Lindsey.

Oh, I actually forgot that this is already coming out tomorrow!

Excited to listen to it - the last album was pretty good. Also, it seems like there aren't many other big new releases tomorrow, so this may end up as her second #1 album in the US

Pretty good album on first listen!

Still loving the cover, and the transition from "Mess With My Head" to "It All Comes Out in the Wash" is great. Several songs really stood out already and I really dig the diversity. My favorite song so far is probably "Fire Escape".

I also love Fire Escape but my favorite one is still Bluebird.

It gets better with every spin.

                                My early ranking:

                                1 “White Trash” 9/10
2 “Mess With My Head” 9/10
3 “It All Comes Out in the Wash” 6/10
                                4 “Settling Down” 9/10
                                5 “Holy Water” 9/10
6 “Way Too Pretty for Prison” (feat. Maren Morris) 7/10
                                7 “Locomotive” 8/10
                                8 “Bluebird” 10/10
9 “How Dare You Love” 9,5/10
                                10 “Fire Escape” 10/10
                                11 “Pretty Bitchin'” 8/10
                                12 “Tequila Does” 10/10
                                13 “Track Record” 9,5/10
                                14 “Dark Bars” 10/10

                                Average: 8,85

There's no filler which is not that easy to do with 14 tracks!

I may give this a spin! I have never been a fan or casual fan but after I enjoyed maren's album earlier this year I am open.
