Another flawless album from Alanis. I find it so hard to communicate how her music makes me feel, but I've played this album 3 times in total now and her lyrics really hit me hard. Aside from the pre-release tracks we've already heard, I think Losing The Plot + Nemesis were the standouts for me.

top 5 in midweeks, which means she will probably stay top 10 - great result!

smiling is the best track that I listen in 2020. If only they push f9 remix of it. This has a hit potential & better than crappy house songs in charts

The album is such a great listen. I'm so happy for her that she could release her emotions like that. It's a sublime record.

                                  Complete favs:
Smiling (an outstanding album opener! amongst her best work imo), Ablaze (again, alanis playing the game she knows and giving us a gem), Reasons I Drink (such a differnt sound from her imo, a mix of a classic Alanis with a surprising output), Diagnosis (heartbreaking, so beautiful), Losing the Plot (how this album keeps delivering! Great song!), Reckoning (wow, wow wow, amazing)

                                  Rest of favs:
Missing the Miracle (a step down from the perfect initial 4 but still amazing), Sandbox Love (ok), Her (nice), Nemesis (good), Pedestal (good album closer)

                                  Not completely into them yet:
                                  -

                                  Final rank:
                                  1 Smiling
                                  2 Reasons I Drink
                                  3 Diagnosis
                                  4 Reckoning

                                  5 Ablaze
                                  6 Losing the Plot
                                  7 Her
                                  8 Nemesis
                                  9 Missing the Miracle
                                  10 Pedestal
                                  11 Sandbox Love

So if I have to rank them now it would be:

                                  A xxxx1/2

She's one of my favourite artists! I think this album was spectacular - probably her best work since URS or SCC for me. I think it could have benefited from maybe one more 'upbeat/rocky' kind of song just to change the pace up a little, but it was definitely one of my most played albums of 2020.
