I thought love island would guarantee this shoot up the charts. I know it was a small appearance but surely you can’t get better promo for the demographic you’re selling to than love island!!! It’s like if a pop star had appeared to perform in the big brother house when it was at the height of its popularity!

Well it is like the Raye situation. Fine as a vocalist on a dance record, but nobody is interested in their albums. Harsh but true. Mabel’s a bigger name than RAYE so I’m more surprised at this, she seemed like a general industry priority and is a Brit winner. The fact they’ve not followed this song up is bizarre though as although it wasn’t a big peaking hit it did spend 10 weeks in the top 40.Comment

Unfortunately I stopped caring about Mabel a long time ago. Sad because she was an artist I was very excited for at the beginning of her career.
