She needs to come back as harder as she did with Have Mercy!!!!!! It's a loss that Have Mercy, Treat Me, Surprise and For the Night (at least a solo version) will not be in the album...
I’m really curious what the song sounds like.
Can’t see her going all gospel on us haha.
I think it’s either a smooth urban slow song or a sexy banger in disguise.
Don’t wanna speak too soon, but it seems like she still hasn’t figured her vision/direction. Hope the song changes my mind. I need a new bomb rnb album so bad.
It's actually really cute though, I love the harmonies & Gospel elements but it really sounds more like an interlude. Don't think it'll be a hit either.
Pretty video, but the song is average. It also doesn’t seem like much of a departure from her previous offerings, which is a bit surprising to me. What’s the point of scrapping an album when you’re gonna keep doing more of the same?
I’m willing to check the album out, but the lead single doesn’t excite me at all.
It's not bad, but I don't know that this will have much replay for me. I did think we'd get something different from her. At around the minute mark, when she goes into the chorus, I thought the song would go into something uptempo, but instead it's just kind of a letdown. Her voice is on point, but I felt like there were some good elements in the song that didn't take enough advantage of.
She always seems to give off this vibe of trying way too hard. I am really not sure how she can remedy that. It feels a bit like she is trying to project a certain image on herself instead of just being who she is.

I agree. Even though she meant it differently, I couldn’t help but grin at the “I faked it for nothing” line, because it felt so fitting to the way she scrapped the original album and is now trying to start over with a new lead single.
