Damn Twitter is definitely not happy with this announcement.

I... am looking forward to this. *runs away*

I hope it has the Pop sensibility that will help her cross over. Still gutted they scrapped "Cry For Me", that song sounded like a smash!

Chris Brown? I don't know if I can get behind this.

Well, she needs a hit to launch the album and Brown is Top 3 among male r&b acts nowadays (at least success-wise). Plus, she's nabbing a lot of big acting roles lately so she needs to get her name out there too (even if it doesn't show in her recording career).
Hoping for a solo version tho lol

I just want the album Chile.

I'm not bothered by a Chris feature, although I get the complaint of ppl wanting another R&B male just in general...but there are slim pickings nowadays.

Chris can still make a good tune if he puts the drugs down that day.

Chris just had a buzz worthy song with under the influence and a grammy nomination. He is doing well for R&B so I don't see the issue once the song is good.

She needs something good and notable to launch the album. (This may not be it but lets see)

There's so many other singers she could've collabed with. I'm so disappointed.

They trying to create a "No Air" moment. I'm very skeptical

If we're talking specifically about mainstream R&B male artists, then I would have to disagree on this one. The reason why Chris Brown is still relevant is simply because he has no other competitions.

Bruno Mars, Khalid & The Weeknd are also popular but they occupy completely different lanes of R&B. Jason Derulo is seen as corny & cringy by most people. Giveon, Brent Faiyaz, Bryson Tiller, 6LACK, Lucky Daye, etc. occupy another different lane of R&B + they're not dancers/performers. Ne-Yo, Omarion & Mario haven't been relevant for years.

That leaves Chris & Usher alone in that particular space with Chris currently being the forefront popularity-wise by quite a margin.

People should let go of their CB hate. Not that i'm condoning what he has done so far but looks like people enjoy his output regardless of his actions, it's clear artists will continue to work with him. You guys will be disappointed a lot in the future.

I think Lucky Daye, Bryson Tiller and 6LACK would work amazingly with Chloe, especially the first one as he actually is pretty popular in the scene at the moment. She also literally had a song with 6LACK too but they made her scrap it.

I haven't listened to the song yet so not sure if Chris' dancing is even necessary but if it's a slow jam then I don't get it.

I could careless about a CB feature, but not even Trey Songz?

(I know he's not worth the hype nowadays like before)

The snippet is out there and it's midtempo. Sounds a bit late 2000s Hip-Hop/R&B but I'm not sure if sounds like a hit.

Judging by the song's structure based on the snippet, I wouldn't be surprised if either Chris or Meek was originally the lead artist.

Just heard the song, it's pretty short (2:46) but feels longer than that.

I actually enjoy this. I think it samples Usher's "Throwback" from Confessions (beat is the same) or at least uses the same sample - so yeah basically midtempo R&B over an old school Hip-Hop-esque production. I think it has a hit potential on Urban that's for sure.

They both sample Dionne Warwick's "Your Gonna Need Me".

I heard the demo and I think it could be a slow burning R&B hit (like all of CBs songs...which may be their intention)

Nice video! The song is nothing special, but I think out of all the singles she’s released, it’s one of the better ones. Which really says a lot about her output so far.

It's alright. Not worth the collab backlash. Could've definitely had Lucky Daye on this instead.

Hope it's a hit for her.

Having Lucky Daye, Giveon, Earthgang, Pink Sweats, JID, Smino AND SHE CHOOSE THE WOMEN ABUSER? that was a huge choice...
