I’m sorry to continue with this but we know how the remix/versions treatment works in 2023. A lot of people does from SZA to Rosalía, from Beyoncé to Nicki, etc… is not as it was 10 years ago.

And as for Taylor, we know she is capable to pull another #1, but it seems like Midnights was overshadowed by its lead single, like Endless Summer Vacation was when River was selected as the second single.

Of course will help the chart run but it’s obviously that the major goal is for a improvement at the chart peaks and that’s completely fine, if y’all so blind to see that, y’all better know and understand that that’s a practice that all the artists have done.

What is problematic is that she choose Ice Spice while the person she is dating treated her in derogatory terms and he laughed of her. That’s why it feels unauthentic from Taylor’s side, but she’s so good at managing this kinda stuff that we’ll never know… and I don’t understand why it is so hard for her stans to accept that some of us this is what we think… we’re not ten years old kids… I know we have to defend our favs, but sometimes we don’t have to agree with everything our favs think/done

Sorry but why exactly would she release a remix if it wasn’t to improve the chart peaks? Not sure why you’re stating it as it it’s a revelation. Of course it’s for that reason. Every single artist does that for that exact purpose.

and I’m glad you added the “we’ll never know” statement. We know nothing about her personal life or about when this remix came about. So you’re right - we’ll never know.

I can't at people saying Erdogan will lose elections today because lightbulbs are exploding in the video and lightbulb represents governing party. Her impact!

In that case, better send the video to German-based Turks. The last election had regions with up to 77% Erdogan-approval rates.

Germany has to ban dual citizenship or at least shouldn't allow them to vote in Turkey's election.

                  Anyhow...

I've liked the few songs that Ice Spice is on prior to this, but here, the flow doesn't really fit for me. She feels just kind of stuck in there, like a bad photoshop.

I finally listened to the remix. Ice Spice's part, if viewed isolately, is surprisingly good in a way that it exceeded my (honestly rather low) expectations. However, I agree that it feels a bit copy-and-paste. It's not really an upgrade, which it could've been if the whole song was reworked and not just the 2nd verse + bridge replaced by Ice Spice's rap part. I'm thinking of Beyoncé's Break My Soul Madonna remix, which was a good example of how a remix can improve a song.

Great visuals, but still don't like this remix at all. Such a pointless release, imo. At least, Bad Blood with Kendrick was something good and different from album version.

because some people in twitter had said that the remix wasn't released to chase an exact position in the charts LOL
