This is possibly the most undeserved flop of the year in the sense that it’s a great song by a artist with commercial appeal, and the song sounds like a hit - yet it completely bombed on the charts. It even got a lukewarm reception in Sweden.

I guess one reason this flopped is because Zara’s labels don’t really know what they’re doing with her. Her Swedish, American and British labels all seem to have different ideas, but none of them seem to be that invested in her career right now. Her UK label is the only half decent one tbh.

In a just world this perfect sadbanger knocked Tove Lo’s Glad He’s Gone to spend 2 weeks on top of the UK singles chart before Clairo’s Bags climbed to get a week on top.
    late.

Yeah, this has ended up as my favorite song from her 'second era' so far (if we can call it like that). A shame all songs kinda bombed though. Will be interesting to see if Dua Lipa will have similar struggles with her second era.

Zara seems to be over, it’s so odd, she was on the cusp of being massive a few years ago.

Shame but the issue is lack of consistency with the material. It still surprises me that in the UK Zara's highest peaking solo single is I would like which never seemed like a monster hit even though i liked the track.

It all seems to have gone downhill since Ruin my life. It's as if that song title had a double meaning.

This era has been so good, its 3/3 for the singles for me, i wasnt so sure about the robot voice parts of this song at first but I can take it now because of that chorus.

I also can't understand how this could bombed. It's amazing and her best single yet. It has hit written all over it. It's a shame how artists doing great on first eras struggle and then they can ever reach that again. There's sooo many names.

I hope we can at least get this album.

Her best track since I Would Like by miles. Shame it didn't do anything on the charts.

They really released the songs in the wrong order. I hope she can recover from this because she has it in her to deliver awesome bops. Come back next year with a potential smash and a high profile feature which attracts attention. It was really noticable that her label also didn't really back DWBM and ATT up. Ruin My Life has at least done decent and was a little hit in the UK and Sweden, despite being the worst of the three singles imo.
