#6 and Rangers won, meaning this could yet peak further.

        ^ Radio 1 said it was #9.

Poor Tina, back in the charts being associated with Rangers.
        The shame.

Turner’s signature tune – although first recorded by Bonnie Tyler – The Best was boosted by its use on the first episode of the fourth series of Britain’s Got Talent by an impersonator and, more significantly, a Facebook campaign urging fans of Glasgow Rangers FC – where it is the club anthem - to purchase the track to celebrate the team’s latest Scottish Premier League championship.

Fans of Rangers’ bitter rivals across Glasgow – Celtic – were so enraged by the prospect of The Best charting that they belatedly put their weight behind their own club’s anthem, Gerry & The Pacemakers’ You’ll Never Walk Alone. It too charts this week but it is a case of art imitating life as it is well beaten by The Best, debuting at number 33 (7,021 sales) in much the same way as Celtic trail in a poor second in the Scottish league table 11 points behind Rangers. 70.7% of the track’s sales were in Scotland last week, as were 38.8% of The Best’s.

I spoke to some Rangers fans and they said they only planned to buy The Best during that week they won the cup.
They claim a victory in the Premiership and also for beating You'll Never Walk Alone.

They couldn't care less where the song is this week!

I adore Tina but this campaign just seems to be something like hardcore fans banding together. With Rage, it was a statement against Simon Cowell's touch on the music industry, and with Delirious?, it coincided with Easter. But with The Best, what's the point? Great song but it just seems random.

Absolute classic, watching that live performance from 1990 gives me goosebumps - she was the personification of star quality, she is THE female icon of live performance, of all-time.

Utterly adore this song, the saxophone solo during the bridge is one of my favourite pop music moments of all-time - always an absolute delight to hear.

THE GREATEST female performer or simply performer (male or female) of ALL TIME!!! Nobody comes close. She is untouchable in that department.
