    +1

I would've loved to see a video for Keep It Together, especially after the fantastic Blond Ambition performance.
Same here. Also, it wouldn't be such a forgotten song.

I listened to the "Like A Prayer" album today again (for the first time in some time) and I just wonder how could anyone dislike this album?

The album is a trip of emotions and honesty, could this be her most emotional album ever? she didn't hold anything back, she put it all out, her social views, her past, her demons, her relationship with her father, mother and siblings, even her maternal side long before she was a mother. While "Ray Of Light" is introspective, deeply personal and reflexive this album is sensitive, emotional and even sweet, I think I never heard Madonna (before or after this album) like this, "Like A Prayer" comes from a fragile state, it's vulnerable, it's beautiful, and it's a piece of art.

Of course the album sounds dated sonically-wise (but fairly enough what 80s album doesn't?) but I can easily emotionally connect with the message of every song to the point that I can deeply feel what she's singing about, this album touches my heart and Madonna's vocal performance is magical, basically every song is close to perfection:

      Like A Prayer - 10/10
      Express Yourself - 9,5/10
      Love Song - 8/10
Till Death Do US Part - 9,5/10
      Promise To Try - 9,5/10
      Cherish - 8/10
      Dear Jessie - 9/10
      Oh Father - 10/10
      Keep It Together - 8/10
Pray For Spanish Eyes - 9/10

Easily one of the best pop albums I've ever heard and one of my big 5 favorite records from M.
Britney Spears . Michael Jackson . Madonna . Metallica . Radiohead . Led Zeppelin . Oasis . Beyoncé . Soda Stereo

It really is flawless and gave us her best song (Like a Prayer wbk). The ballads on this album are her best.
Britney Spears • Janet Jackson • Christina Aguilera • Michael Jackson • Selena Gomez • Hilary Duff • Taylor Swift • Justin Timberlake

I never knew about this! I was under the impression that even with the single not being released in EU at the time you guys could still watch the video on the music channels

Yeah, quite unexpected after the rest of the tracks. I noticed on the recent 30th Anniversary edition they substituted 'Supernatural' for 'Act of Contrition'. Not sure why they omitted it.. I remember 'Supernatural' being the B-Side on 'Cherish' and also on that compilation for the HIV/AIDS charity, 'Red Hot and Dance'.

Totally off the music topic but incredibly my LAP editions still smell of patchouli all these years later
It might sound like I'm an unapologetic bitch
But sometimes you know I gotta call it like it is

The one on RH&D was a remix though -I kinda liked it better-

I recently had to re-purchase LAP on CD bc it got scratched and the booklet didn't smell like patchouli and it didn't come with the AIDS booklet. My original booklet does smell like patchouli still as well!

I'm not sure why they even made it. Slap on a few remixes instead of album version, add a B-Side and you get... What? Album to celebrate 30 years? Yeah, no...
