Happy 30th anniversary to one of the best debut albums of all time. Ballads, bops and inspiration. YES BITCH! The birth of a legend. The birth of the most resilient female artist of all time. With all disrespect, your faves could NEVER. How can you not stan?

Well, that’s the right move. So I’m glad she did postpone the festivities.

This one isn't a bad album, it has some great moments, though it's not Album of the Year calibre despite getting that prestigious nod. I think "Vision of Love" and the success of the other singles sealed the deal. Emotions was obviously made to bank on the success of this album, they quickly moved on to MTV Unplugged when her sophomore album wasn't shaping up to be as stellar as her debut.

Her first two albums have aged terribly. I think she hit her stride with Music Box personally which I still listen to regularly.

This is glorious. It remains one of her best albums. All the singles are iconic and there are some really good album tracks in here ("Prisoner" says hi)!

It's mind blowing to think that she wrote some of these songs in her teens. Like...what kind of teens did she even have to articulate such emotions? lol

But what she REALLY needs to do is put some RESPEK on All In Your Mind

The song really is fitting and it's an opportunity waiting to be taken advantaged of. If only she would really sift through her discography and begin to highlight gems like that a bit more.

I think Daniel Moore, her musical director, is helping a bit more with this though.
