  • Janet Jackson - Doesn't Really Matter

    [youtube:35qulai9]7iJZosBX2L0[/youtube:35qulai9]

"Doesn't Really Matter" is a song recorded by American singer Janet Jackson as the lead single to the soundtrack of the 2000 film Nutty Professor II: The Klumps. The song was released as a single in May 21, 2000, after an unfinished version leaked to radio. It became Jackson's ninth number-one single in the United States and stayed atop the chart for three weeks. It was Jackson's twenty-first single to be certified, which ranked her as the second female artist with the most certified singles. The single fared well internationally, reaching number five in the United Kingdom, and peaking within the top-ten in Italy and Denmark. It attained a silver certification in the United Kingdom, and allowed Jam and Lewis to receive a Grammy nomination for Producer of the Year. A remix version was included in the 2001 Janet Jackson album, All for You.

My favourite Janet song! If euphoria could be bottled in a song, it'd be in this track.

Not one of my favourites from Janet, and it sounds incredibly dated now, but I enjoy it nonetheless.

My absolute favorite Janet song. One of her catchiest tunes. The song takes me back in time. It makes me so nostalgic.

Iím surprised she didnít experience any backlash here. The Velvet Rope was as ghetto as it gets and then she follows it up with such a ghey ass pop song, and then All for You right after? But both were R&B #1s!

Janet herself was surprised since this was only a soundtrack single. It did better than most of her The Velvet Rope singles in the United States. Happy Janet songs never go wrong.

I’ve been obsessively listening to this the last few days.
Such an earworm. And it brings me back, such good vibes.

She's got a cute little voice but she doesn't really have any fans...none that can fight....

I'm so glad the greatest hits contained the original version.
